*** Can be read as a STANDALONE. *** I had a plan… Go to college, get good grades, start fresh. I knew I’d have a clean slate, and I could be anyone. I was right on track until I spent the summer with my roommate, Emma. Aaron Sutter was everything I told myself to stay away from… a player, smooth talker, and sexy as hell. He was not part of the plan. Girls fought for just a minute of his attention, and would pretty much do anything to get it. I swore I would never be one of them, but Aaron and my heart had other plans. It’s funny how the heart works. It doesn’t see the pain coming its way. It doesn’t understand that one moment could change everything. One crack could destroy the very foundation that it’s balancing on. Aaron was that crack for me. He pushed inside, wrapping himself around my soul and never letting go. I wanted to let him in, but was he ready for the past I worked so hard to escape from? Trusting you is the second book in The Sutter Family series. *** This book is intended for adult readers. It contains profanity and graphic sexual situations. ***

I didn't think Heather would be able to top her story of Brock and Emma (Catching Raindrops) but she has really captured my heart with Aaron and Melinda (Trusting You). Everyone deserves a second chance even Aaron and Melinda. Melinda has decided that she is going to be "responsible", no letting loose, having fun, all work, work work. She met Aaron when she spent a week with Emma last summer. Aaron was a real party boy, a lifeguard with a different beach bunny every night. What Melinda doesn't know is that once Aaron met her, he has decided to curb his wild ways. What must Aaron do to prove to Melinda he has changed his wild ways? How long can Melinda hide her past, her secrets from everyone in her life who means so much to her now? How long can Melinda hide her feelings from Aaron and will he be able to accept her once she reveals her secret? I am in love with Aaron and Melinda's story. It was filled with steam and emotion, the perfect combination. I can't wait for the next story in the series.

I haven't read book 1 in this series, and I am pleased to advise that I don't think that this in any way affected my enjoyment of this story.

And the story is a pretty decent romance.  Boy falls for girl.  Girl worries about boy's reputation.  Boy persists.  But is there an HEA?  No spoilers here, you'll have to read for yourself to find out.

Yes, the foreshadowing is perhaps not the most subtle I have come across, but the characters are engaging and I found myself caught up in their tale.

Overall, this is a very pleasant diversion.

Trusting You by H D’Agostino
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Oh man oh man!! Aaron, Aaron, Aaron!! The player got tamed for sure in this book.
In Em’s book we see Aaron and Mel getting a close. Mel is warned that Aaron isn’t a settle down kinda guy but Mel just can’t turn away until…….well if you read the 1st book then you know what he did. *Shakes my finger at Aaron*
Aaron is the god time guy. He loves his role as the hot lifeguard. He gets any girl he wants but he is drawn to Mel for some reason. When he screws up, he is desperate to find a way AKA Beg Em and Brock for help to get his girl.
Mel was devastated by what Aaron did to her and will not fall for ANOTHER player. She puts up a lot of walls because players have ruined her life and she will not fall for that line again. Mel is dedicated to school and her family at home. She loves Em but she has a big secret that she keeps close. She has to graduate. She has to take care of her and her business.
When Aaron starts to beg and grovel, Mel begins to crack. She wants to have what he might actually be offering but when Aaron lays his cards out on the table, Mel flips out!!!
When the secrets are told and the revelations are made, we see our couple come to THE make or break point!!
The epilogue was great…..the build-up for Ryan’s book looks awesome. But there was one little scene in the epilogue that made my heart beat a bit. When Aaron realizes all that Cam did for him out of love…sigh………yeah I loved that guy even more.
I totally loved seeing the “old gang” for the Shattered series. They are still keeping it lively in the bedroom much to their children’s distain…LOL Sorry not sorry Aaron!!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
This is one story I have been waiting on since reading Catching Raindrops. Why you ask? This is Melinda and Aarons book. The prologue had me hooked it gave me just enough that I wanted…no…no…needed to know more of Melinda’s back story.
Melinda is on the right path keeping out of trouble making it through college and making her life better. One thing she did expect was Aaron. She was warned about Aaron, she even knew what Aaron was when she visited the Sutters that summer. She didn’t have time for a guy like Aaron. Mel has her walls up and is leery of letting these down and doesn’t want to get hurt. Mel has secrets that hold her back and man does she have secrets. She has a hard time opening up and letting anyone in especially a player like Aaron. See Mel’s inner struggle with everything is heartbreaking.
Aaron is a player always had the girls running to him never had to look far for a girl willing to chase him. I have to say I loved watching Aaron doing all the chasing instead of being chased. I’m telling you at one point in the book I had George Jones song The Race playing in my heat the entire time. Aaron can be so cocky around Mel at times then he would second guess himself and right back to being cocky.
We don’t see it often by every once in a while we see a playful side of Mel that she lets out when she wants to. My favorite thing is seeing Aaron doing the chasing instead of being chased. He is trying so hard and falling so fast. Aaron finally found someone worth growing up for but can he break down Mel’s walls and get her to open up and let him in. The epilogue was the best especially a certain scene that tugged at my heart. Then to see when Aaron realizes now all that his dad has done for him in his life. To see the love and strength between all the Sutters was wonderful to see. I am so excited and cannot wait for Ryan and Jess story.

Melinda made a decision in High School that changed her, so when she got to college, she was going to get good grades, start fresh, and no partying. All was going well, until she spent the summer with her roommate, and met Aaron Sutter. He was everything that she needed to stay away from, sexy, but a player, and he proved her right. However, as time went on, he decided that he didn't want other girls, he only wanted Melinda. So he became determined to make her his. And while she couldn't stop thinking about him, she knew that she could not let him in. However somehow, he got passed the walls she had built, but is he ready for the past she had worked so hard to get away from? Trusting You was an amazing angst filled piece of goodness that I devoured in a matter of hours. H. D'Agostino was brilliant at writing a story with such push & pull that my heart was almost bleeding on top of the layers of mysterious circumstances which kept my on the edge of my seat so it's safe to say that all my emotions were out to play. While I loved Melinda, she drove me crazy quite a bit, because I didn't understand the reasons for a while, so her pushing Aaron away, had me wanting to shake her. And Aaron, once it was revealed what he did that summer, I wanted to junk punch him, then I fell harder for him. And the cast of secondaries were very entertaining, and made me laugh hard! And with the circumstances of why Melinda was the way she was shrouded in mystery, when the twists were unraveled, I was dropping loud f-bombs. All in all another perfect story for an amazing author! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My Review
4.5 Roses

4 1/2 Roses, Rounded Up for Goodreads Rating System

This is the first book I've read from this author, and since her previous book in the series has such great reviews, I was curious to see what this book had in store. I certainly wasn't disappointed, and think I may have found a new author to follow. While this book is a little more steamy than I prefer, the overall story was good enough to encourage me to finish.

I loved the chemistry between Aaron and Mel. His rough edges cut through her broken past, and somehow, they blended together beautifully. I really didn't like Aaron at first, and didn't want them to be together, or want her to even look at him. As the story went on though, I loved seeing how she basically tamed him, and he became her safe place.

It's a popular kind of romance to read about these days, but the author did a fantastic job of making it feel authentic and unique, and kept it a story different than others I've read. My only complaint, aside from the bit of heat I skipped over, was my edition wasn't formatted properly, and paragraphs would jump down mid-sentence, making it a little difficult to follow, and really get the flow right. Still, it was a good enough story to read anyway, which is saying quite a bit.

I would recommend this book to others, and thank the author for the opportunity to read and review.

*I was given an ARC eCopy of this book, from the author, to read in exchange for an honest review.

First off, this is my first read from Ms D'Agostino....and OMG I have NO IDEA why I haven't read any of her books before this!!!

This story gripped me from the beginning! Almost immediately, you KNOW Melinda's hiding something BIG....a secret that she carries with her at all times. She's dedicated to getting an education, she's all about her studies with no time for the normal fun MOST college girls indulge in! No parties, no dating! Just classes and studying....and she goes home every weekend to "help" her Mom. Mel's friend and dorm-mate Emma, doesn't understand and continually tries to get her to loosen up and live a little, like she did when Mel spent a week with her the previous summer....where she met Emma's HAWT, but apparently douchey cousin Aaron! But appearances CAN be deceiving, and Aaron certainly ISN'T what he likes to portray himself as being! I LOVED how persistent he was in getting what he wants....and what he wants is MEL!!! *sigh*

The slow burn aspect of this love story is INCREDIBLE!!! The character development is spot on, the build up to discovering what Mel is hiding is AWESOME! I was TOTALLY involved in this book, I couldn't put it down! My heart SWOONED a hundred times, the sexy-as-SIN chemistry between Mel and Aaron is undeniable and I fell TOTALLY and COMPLETELY in love with both of these characters who feel like friends! If you're like me and are a little late to Heather D'Agostino's world, I can't recommend this book highly enough!!! I'll DEFINITELY be checking out MORE of her books....SOON!

I think this is becoming one of my favorite types of books. I love the college story and this story was any excellent way to start the year off for me in this genre. Melinda has a sordid past. She did things that she can never forget so instead of forgetting, she is going to put in the past. She has made a new friend in Emma and they are extremely close. She is doing well in school and everything is going good. Mel is staying away from everything that she has to, to become the person she needs to be. Mel is such a strong character and has flaws as many college theme books do, but what makes me love this book is the characters. Mel is trying to do do everything she can to be better, but a secret is always there to bring her down. Aaron is a player, there are no other words to give him. He plays the field, he is not sorry for it and he owns everything he does. With that being said when he meets Mel, it is the first time that he wants more. He wants to be that person that Mel can rely on, but first he will have to break down all of her barriers and find a way in. It won't be easy, but nothing that is worth it is. These two were perfect for each other and what they do to complete each other is amazing.

I have loved this author for a long time and this book is no exception. The characters are great and the story line is a good one. I can only hope to read the next book that she brings out because I would hate to miss anything she writes.

Trusting You by Heather D'Agostino is the second book in her Sutter Family series. This is the story of Aaron and Mel. Told in dual POV and a standalone romance within a building world of characters.

Picking up shortly after the timeline in book one, Catching Raindrops, we see Mel and her best friend back at college discussing Emma's cousin Aaron. He is persistent in pursuing Mel even though he is a known player and she is NOT interested in being that girl any more.

Aaron cannot stop thinking about Mel. Their brief time together, hanging out as friends, is stuck in his head but she will barely give him the time of day, let alone a chance to prove himself.

Both dealing with their past and separate issues, these two slowly learn to trust and love. With the help of family and friends they may even be able to make a go at a real relationship - providing their pasts are not too much for the other to deal with.

Trusting You is the second book in The Sutter Family series. It is Melinda and Aaron’s story. Melinda met her best friend, Emma’s, cousin Aaron over the summer. Now, she is back in school, but she can’t seem to forget Aaron. He is a total player, and she isn’t the girl she used to be in high school. Aaron is definitely the kind of boy she needs to stay away from. Too bad…he never got that message. She is finding it harder to keep rejecting him.

Melinda made a mistake in high school, and she got her heart broken. She isn’t that girl anymore. She is a serious college student and doesn’t let loose very much at all. She never dates; she refuses to trust another man. Aaron has a way of getting under her skin though. As she gets to know him, she realizes he isn’t at all the kind of guy she thought he was. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Aaron scale all her walls and crumbling them. I loved the fact that once he made up his mind that she was going to be his, he never gave up. He really was a good guy, and they each had their own issues to deal with. Together they were able to conquer them.

This was a quick, enjoyable romance with just the right combination of sexy and sweet!

Trusting you is a story of secrets, wild ways, second chances and trust.

Mel a beautiful young girl who has a wild past, but trying to overcome her wicked ways and focus on the importance of life, she is trying to keep her head down and push forward and tame her ways, so she can achieve her dreams and be the responsible adult she wants to be.

Aaron, A wild one, loves to party and have fun, can he trade his parting days and be what Melinda needs him to be, can this wild boy be tamed?
Or will the player always play?

Mel really struggles with letting anyone in she doesn’t want her past to haunt her future she doesn’t want her secretes to be divulged into her future. Aaron is persistent and continuously keeps pushing with Mel, when he knows what he wants he will keep going until he has her.

We loved watching this slow process of Mel come out of her shell and really open up to Aaron and watching them blossom into their own characters along with a lot of heart ache on the way.

Well done Heather for a delightful read this book draws you in and holds you captive till the very last page.

I can honestly say that this is a tough review to write, let me explain. I thoroughly enjoy reading this authors works. She writes beautifully, her description of characters and scenes are on point and her story lines are fantastic. This book is no exception. My issue with this book is the age of the characters and the lack of angst, but both of those are personal choice, hence giving the book 4 stars.

For the most part I loved the characters; Aaron was a loveable guy. He played a part to protect himself and then fought tooth and nail to show his 'the one' what he was really all about. Mel, well I could see where she was coming from in some of her decisions and she was doing the best she could with the hand she had been dealt. I simply had to pretend the characters were 10 years older.

This was a slow starter for me, and Mel's big secret wasn't all that difficult to work out, for me I would have liked a little more angst or drama, but all in all it was a comfortable relatively carefree read.

I LOVED reading about Aaron and Mel in Brock and Emma's story and I LOVED reading their whole story now. Thankfully it picks up right where Brock and Emma's story ended. You really should read Catching Raindrops first and get the whole Sutter Family experience. Plus you will learn 1 key event in Aaron and Mel's story. So go back, read it and continue with this review.

Have you read it? Good. Now you may proceed.

Aaron has never had a problem with the ladies. But there is just one woman he can't forget and that's Mel, who won't give him the time of day. Aaron wouldn't normally work this hard but there is something about Mel that he can't forget.

Mel had done the party thing and now she's buckled down and studying to get through school. She doesn't date, doesn't go out and goes home every weekend. She doesn't have time for Aaron, even when though she wants to make time for him.

I have finished reading this lovely book a few days ago actually, but I failed to post the review as soon as possible. I kind of feel bad for that. :(( So here's the quick review about the book.
Characters: I loved the book character so much. Apparently there were many characters inside, so I could follow the story plot easily.
Appearance: there's no right word to describe the cover though, just look at that. It's soothing me to see it. The artists are actually perfect together. :3
Story plot: The good thing about this book is that you will understand with the plot right away, so you dont have to read it twice to know what's going on with the characters, plot, or something.

Over all, I highly recommend this book to read. :3

Wow I simply loved this instalment in the Stutter Family series. This was a brilliantly written push/pull story, your heart will go through the ringer BUT you will love every single word.

I so loved Aaron and Melissa, you could feel the chemistry steaming off the pages between them, their story was angst, steamy, and filled with so much emotion you will be kept enraptured turning the pages from beginning to end.

Trusting You is book two in The Sutter Family series. It can be read as a standalone. Aaron is a player but he just need to find the right girl. Mel might just be the right girl. Mel is sweet and nice and is not looking for a relationship. Mel is kind of a mystery. She stays at college but goes home every weekend, I had my suspicions why but I couldn't wait to continue reading to read out. Aaron has his work cut out for him with proving that he's the one for Mel. This one is great antsy read.

My Review of Trusting You (Sutter Family Series)
by H. D’Agostino
My Rating 4.5 Stars
Trusting You by Heather D'Agostino is the second book in her Sutter Family series.
Great story of broken woman hell-bent on never letting anyone take from her again. Aaron is the manwhore who has no respect for women due to a nasty past. The writing in this story pulled me in and captured my heart. Aaron and Melinda’s story is one that must be read to experience all the feelings inside these pages. This was a perfect angsty read, that had me turning the page until the very last.

This was one book I didn't want to see end. This is an all-around great story of two very broken people, trying to find that silver lining. Heather has become one of my go to authors. Always delivering a page turning read.
You are pulled in the life of Mel and Aaron who are just getting through life's troubles. Mel is making changes in her life after making so poor choice and looking to escape her past mistakes. Aaron comes in her life, making it hard to escape these past demons. These two have a rough road ahead of them.

I loved Trusting You by Heather D'Agostino!

Melinda is a broken woman. Whatever happened made her want to change her life and be a very private person. She's bound and determined to not let anyone get close including her best friend Emma.

Aaron had a rough past. He treats women poorly. He's a player. Until Mel.

Melinda is different, worth fighting for. Will Mel let Aaron in? If so, will they beable to overcome whatever Melinda is hiding?

Overall this was a very sweet love story. Melinda has a secret and doesn't think she can be what Aaron needs or wants. Aaron want Melinda and he is stubborn and very persistent. This is a story about how he goes about winning her over and getting her to trust him.

I loved this story and did not want to put it down! It hooked me from the very beginning.

What happens when you realize you made a mistake and try to win back the one your heart desires? Only she wants nothing to do with you anymore? You pretty much try to be her friend and build a new relationship from there... Will this work or will it just blow up in your face? You'll have to read this book to find out what happens next!

In this second book of the Sutter family series, we move to Aaron, Emma and Ryan's cousin. He is a couple of years older than Emma. We focus on his thing for or with Mel. I feel so bad for Mel when I find out more of what happened with Jason years ago. As the story progresses, my thoughts about Mel are correct. I think I fell in love with Aaron a little bit in this story when he manned up. He showed us his true colors and opened up to Mel, showing her all his ugly scars. Wait and read to see what happens when Sarah shows up.... OMG!!!
