Or someone who isn’t good for them.
Like their new boss.

And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention.

4.25 stars!!!

description

Jana Aston has a distinct kind of humor... it's the kind that makes me smile huge and literally laugh out loud while reading. Good Girl had her signature humor, along with steam, sweetness, and smarts. It was a heck of a lot of fun to read!

Lydia is a good girl. She follows the rules and does things by the book. This is one the reasons she's a 22 year old virgin. She's determined to be a virgin no more. She just goes about it in a very... different way. Rhys is Lydia's boss. Actually, he's her boss's, boss's boss. But when they first meet, she doesn't know that. When they first meet, there is heat, an instant connection. Lydia just knows it needs to be Rhys. He needs to be her first time. This work thing is just a complication.

The plan Lydia hatches is too much. I couldn't stop cracking up when she and Rhys were together. The mix of sexy and funny in the Rhys/Lydia scenes were on-point. I loved these two together so much!

Lydia is a character who is a bit naive, a bit innocent, but also witty, quirky, and straight up hilarious. I loved her antics, the Trooper badges were the best thing ever, her trips to the Goodwill and Del Taco, she was just such a fun character. Rhys was great too, of course. He's rich, sexy, and fantastic, but Lydia... she stole the show for me. I love how Aston writes these characters you want to be BFF's with. Lydia is that type of character.

Jana writes some of the best rom-coms out there. This book was a gem. After reading this, I'm so glad we are going to get a Payton book! She was hilarious. If you are looking for a book that will make you giggle, keep you engaged and is highly entertaining, pick up Good Girl!

*Big Rant Ahead*
To be honest I didn't read it... I just skimmed. I truly wanted to but I couldn't. My hardened heart could take only so much of miss goody two shoes and Mr. Too bad and old for her. I couldn't even enjoy his possesessive and jealous streak which I am a sucker for!
So this is how the story went...
Lydia, 22 yr old naive virgin and too good to be true came for a job to Vegas and went to a pub/club on her first day in Vegas. Oh wait! With her extremely out going and bold crass friend. So like every other book, naturally the good looking, out going, bold blonde (they are always blonde) dared her to kiss someone. So naturally our hero heard it all and took her into the owner's office and kissed the shit out her and gave her a pat on the back and sent her away! And ofcourse she fell in lust. Let me point Out, she was sitting beside the guy and he was eavesdropping, and just because he was extremelyyyyyyyyyy good looking so she didn't even question him when he held and dragged her in. No biggie! And after that she started thinking this:

"I'm not planning on marrying him. I just want to give him my virginity, because I do think that he'd be really good at deflowering me based on that one perfect kiss."

And also like no other romance story he is her boss and she embarrasses herself on front of him. Such a refreshing first official meet where she get to know that he is the boss. So creative. But I was not there for creativity, so who am I to judge?

Later on in Christen Gray style he spots her at the bar and drags her out and again sends her away after kissing her for being with other guy. And he is 34 by the way. Mixed signal much?
After that our good girl plans to get his attention by auctioning her virginity after she gets to know that he has had sex with all the strippers of strip club and she wants her inner slut to come out. (I hate that word. Girls like sex? Sluts! Guys like sex? Studs! Swoon bitch)
Hero gets the news, gets her, saves her from perverts, has sex, gives some more mix signals, makes mistake, heroine goes away, he grovels, heroine accepts, HEA and all other refreshing growling and dominating in between! Swoon.
This was so good. I 'll recommend it to all those people our there who love adorable funny strong doormats and dangerous possessive rich jerks.
But again stupid naive girl got the rich dude and who did I get? So that must work. And again never knew being experienced in sexual department makes you not naive in life. I mean who needs life experiences? Have sex and you 'll be a new women! Yay!
And also how the heck these women are always so sure that the guy is going to break her heart? How they are so experienced about love? Like oooh I 'll fall for him? Bitch get up too.

The dialogs I hated most:

"When I see him I'm pretty sure I've got untapped slut potential."

"I must be the sluttiest non-slut in the country. I'm a wannabe slut."
But again nobody asked me to read. I did this to myself. Now I 'll go and cry in club.

4 Break A Dick! Stars ⭐

~Second Read, first review~

I am a huge fan of the wacky Jana Aston and her oddly appealing characters. Good Girl was exactly what I needed to make me smile. With a virgin heroine who’s sweet and clueless and has a penchant for Goodwill thrift shopping as therapy; Lydia was my kind of girl!

I'm sick of being good. The only kind of good I'm interested in being with that man is on my knees, with my lips wrapped around his dick while he tells me how good I am.

This author does not give a damn and writes the kind of wrong I enjoy reading. Although Lydia is lovely and innocent, she’s harboring an inner whore bursting to be released. Match that with an older man who's a kinky bastard; how could this romance not be fantastic?

It started with a kiss between two strangers. Except they find themselves in lust and working together. Many would find Lydia’s awkwardness off putting, but a cynical Rhys is turned on. When Lydia serves up her virginity for a fee, it's the perfect excuse for dirty boy Rhys to have her.

"So you want me to tell you what to do?"

"Would you?" I exhale in relief. Finally he's getting it. "Boss me. Teach me. Talk dirty to me. I like all of that. I'm good with instructions. And rules. I love rules. They're so clear and unambiguous and sexy."

Thirty days of sex without strings. It's laughable that this manwhore thinks he has control over the situation. I adored watching the jaded bachelor fall ass over tit for the Good Girl.

This book was an absolute riot!!! Gah! Jana Aston is a genius! The more I read of her books the more I want to beg her to write faster. I've had a stressful few days and this was exactly what I needed to uplift my spirits. This was romcom brilliance!

Lydia Clark. I adore quirky, nerdy characters and it really is tricky to get the right balance and still be loveable and adorable. Lydia is the right mix. She was awkward but not even in a cringeworthy way, she was just adorable. I totally laughed out loud so many times because of what she did or said. Add in a wacky best friend and I was rolling with laughter.

Rhys Dalton. He's your typical busy millionaire who has no time or interest in dating. He's 12 years older than Lydia. He should not be letting her distract him but her good girl vibes is totally turning him on and he can't stop thinking about her.

The way Rhys reacted to Lydia's quirkiness added more entertainment to an already funny story. Then you got Rhys best friends chiming in with their two cents. Really, you can't go wrong with this story. It was fun, quirky, flirty and sexy! I'll be re-reading this one for sure.

This was a good story, I liked the premise of it, and in the beginning I was liking the characters. Jana Aston has the kind of humor that is just so silly I can't help but laugh at it, especially when it comes to her naive heroines. As this story went on though I did lose interest some and Lydia's innocence became more annoying than funny. Maybe there were just one too many questions from her about "having the sex" for me to really enjoy her.

Overall, I still thoughts this story was good and I cracked up during a lot of the beginning so I would still recommend it for anyone that's a fan of this kind of silly humor. And the little parts we got about Lydia's friend has me dying to get her story so I can't wait to see what this author will come out with next.

OH THE CUTENESS! I can't even take it right now. THIS BOOK was hilariously, ridiculously, over-the-top sexy, fun, and sassy! An absolute riot of crazy goodness where I was in stitches over these characters. I laughed and laughed at their absurd antics. I’m not even sure what I was expecting going into Good Girl, but it definitely wasn’t this storyline. LOL. And if I'm completely honest, it felt totally unrealistic yet somehow so natural at the same time. It just worked! Worked sooooo damn good. And man, oh man, am I smitten with the whole thing, with the characters! They're a package of quirkiness I couldn't not absolutely love. Fun and fabulous. I am DYING for Payton and Vince's book! I can't get enough these crazy people.

Lydia lives in Vegas with her BFF Payton. They’ve both landed jobs at a new Casino and Resort called The Windsor. These two have know each other since college and the dynamic between them is endearing. Payton is Lydia's opposite. Where Lydia is thoughtful and logical and nerdy, Payton is loud and crazy and all about having fun. Lydia’s idea of a good time is a trip to IKEA where Payton’s is a crazy night at the bar with ALL THE MEN! LOL! Their friendship is one of the best parts of this book. And that friendship starts Good Girl off with a delicious challenge--Lydia needs to kiss a person at the bar, and Rhys Dalton is more than happy to take that on.

Rhys is everything a hero probably shouldn’t be, lol. He’s crass, a little cold, completely self indulgent (he pays for sex) and is all about work work work. He sees our good girl Lydia, and wants to dirty her up. A kiss between them sparks an awkward meet-cute and this story goes in a direction that could be super serious, but isn’t in the least. It's refreshing and addicting. Rhys ends up securing Lydia for a month, all to himself, in his bed, and they light everything on fire with their intense chemistry.

Jana Aston’s characters are truly an entity of their own. Bright, blinding, snarky, funny, free and wild, their personalities are a trip. If you think you’ve read this story before, you haven’t. Good Girl is a fresh spin on the Virgin trope, written in a light and deliciously smutty way! It's impossible to put down. I’m so in love with the silliness of it, so smitten with these characters who have you laughing and smiling and swooning till your cheeks hurt. Totally a good time with a good girl and a bad boy that’ll have you feeling oh-so-hot and happy when it’s done. An easy read that I most definitely recommend.

I feel like I read a different book than everyone else. There was zero chemistry or romance - I was kind of grossed out by Rhys and his desire to only have sex with tourists, strippers and prostitutes and found some of his thoughts contradictory. And the heroine going to Goodwill to buy sheets to make pajamas? I should've known then I wouldn't be able to connect with her. I dnf at 50% and skimmed to the end. This book just wasn't for me.

Well, this book was fun up until 30% but then I got tired of Lydia fast. She’s extremely naive and stupid. You can be a virgin but not this naive. She doesn’t stop talking either. I kinda felt bad for Rhys to be honest. She really annoyed me.

I didn’t like Rhys either. It kinda grossed me out that he likes to pay for sex just cause its convenient. And Lydia is perfectly fine with that. She thinks its some sort of fetish, that’s why she auctions her virginity so he’ll buy her for sex. I am sorry but that’s not sexy.

I am disappointed in this book. Many of my GR friends loved it but its just not for me. I’ve really liked Jana’s previous books but this one was a miss for me.

Selling your virginity to get the attention of the hero... WHY??
Am I the only who finds it a bit odd that most of the couples that this author writes about have a 12 year age difference ( h- 22 years and H - 34 years). It doesn't appeal to me personally.

WOOT WOOT NEW JANA ASTON! Gimme all the laughs!

"Good Girl" is the story of Lydia and Rhys.
What happens when an awkward virgin employee gets seriously enamored by a cock-strutting manwhore boss, who keeps leaving her hot and cold?
Well, she decides to sell her virginity to get his attention, duh, because she read a similar thing in a romance novel!
Okaaaay.
*deep breaths*
I am so disappointed *wails*
I love Jana. I loved her first series and laughed my ass off- I always recommend and reread it the first chance I get. But the last two books, including this are SO NOT my cup of tea.
I didnt like the heroine. I didnt like the hero. I didnt feel any chemistry, and no humor too. Her quirkiness wasnt adorable, and he came off more as a douche than alpha.
The part after bang-bang was annoying- it had them dealing with the aftermath and insecurities. I dont mind FWB, and not even casual sex- but I really wanted the heroine to have a little more...self respect? And the hero to be less of a dick.
The only good thing about this was the heroine's thriftiness and foot in mouth attitude, and the sex was pretty well written-and the last 3 chapters+ epilogue.
I hope the next one is better- not giving up~
Safe....?

"2 Bad Stars"

This book was so.... NOT what I was expecting!

What do I mean, you may ask?

There were so many wrong things about this book, I won't even pin point them. Sorry guys!

description

And even if I wanted to write down all the wrong things about this book, I don't even know where the hell to start. The hero? The heroine? The immaturity of the characters? Where???

I'll just be quite... For the sake of everyone!

description

The 2 stars rating is because there was potential for this book to be a great one. But obviously it didn't work out!

The cover was hot though!

P. D. : Contrario a toda mi opinion * sonrojo *, tengo curiosidad por Good Time, espero leerlo pronto.

2.5 Estrellas!

I absolutely LOVE Jana Aston’s sense of humor! Her wit and comedic timing is always on point and her characters are these lovable beings that take you by surprise every single time! I can’t get enough of this woman’s words! Her humor and personality is stamped on every single page and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to wipe the grin off of your face once you experience her writing!

GOOD GIRL is a fun-filled, highly entertaining, romantic comedy that will brighten up your day! With each turn of the page, your smile will grow, your heart will fill, and your soul will lighten. Lydia is just a pure delight. Rhys is an absolute enigma. Together, these two LIGHT UP the pages of this amazing romance. They couldn’t be more different. They come from different worlds, and yet, you couldn’t picture them with anyone else. I love it! I know YOU will love it! Anything Jana Aston throws at me, I devour it instantly. GOOD GIRL is no different! Take a chance on this woman’s writing. I guarantee it will be one of the best things you ever do!

This is my first book by jana aston. And i have to tip my hat to her. This is a great book.

Lydia is innocent, kick ass heroine. Despite her innocent, she is fierce and independent. I like that combination. She is also kind and caring.

And reese.... oh my reese. He is officially my hero. My fantasy. He is smart and patience. He has a gold heart. He even like the innocent side of lydia.

The story is short and simple. But i like it.

Malo no... Malísimo. Ufff qué horror de lectura.
Una total pérdida de tiempo.

No sé ni siquiera como pude terminarlo.

Puntos a favor.

😭😭😭
No sé, estoy muy decepcionada.

Older man employer, younger woman employee romance set in Vegas baby!
Super cute read with multiple lol moments and mucho sexy times once the heroine is de virginized.
The hero starts out a jerk manwhore but winds up completely besotted with this crazy, wacky ,virgin heroine. They made a great couple.
The inner dialogues of the heroine are too funny.
Never read a book where the heroine is obsessed with Goodwill stores that she scours for bed linen to make pajamas. I too love a Goodwill as you can find really great stuff there.

This has to be Jana's most quirky book to date.
So unexpected. A riotous mix with so much humor, silliness and a cutesy, sexy story that is almost unbelievable but somehow she manages to pull it off.

DNF @ 31%

I liked Jana Aston's previous books and I was eager to read her new book. Even the blurb was promising, though virgin theme sometimes could be turn-down for me. Well, this was not the case in this story!

The main reason to DNF at 31% was really brainless heroine. I can't belive how annoying she was!!!
What a babbling mess came from heroine thoughts! And how ridiculous dialogues!
I had a feeling that author wanted to write funny, nice and naïve heroine; but for me she was foolish, tiresome and irritating character.

I binged this book in one 3am session. I really needed the humour in this book after some seriously angsty/emotional reads lately. Jana Aston never fails to make me LOL with her writing.

Have to say Lydia is in my top heroines ever! I adored EVERY SINGLE THING about her. To the point that I was compelled to message the author this morning and tell her just how awesome she was. She's someone I want to be best friends/big sister to and I was desperate for her to get her HEA.

Rhys - well Rhys is DELICIOUS but can also be kind of an A$$hole! He's the older guy every girl should get to share their first time with. Gruff exterior covering just enough sweet to make you swoon your panties clean off. Seriously - his dirty talk is on point! Micro orgasms while reading are to be expected.

The dialogue in this one was of course hilarious, but there were also moments where it was quite poignant. I cried a couple of times in this book. Not something I usually do in a Rom Com but the innocence of Lydia and her outlook on the world got to me sometimes. Such a refreshing character. Just beautiful!

Add in chemistry so hot your Kindle might explode, fantastic supporting characters who all need their own story told and just the right amount of angst and I was a super happy reader. Even if staying up so late to finish meant functioning on 4 hours sleep today - totally worth it.

Already dying for Payton's book. She's the kind of BFF every girl needs.

I received an arc of this book.

Right off the bat, anyone that knows me, knows what a sucker I am for a man saying; “good girl.” So, you can imagine my titillation at discovering this one.

Jana is just so good at pressing all my right buttons and giving me everything I want along with everything I didn’t know I wanted.

It starts in a bar where a hot mystery man gives Lydia a kiss she’ll never forget. But that’s it and our girl is practically salivating for more but what are the odds she’ll ever see him again?

Lo and behold he works at the same new resort. What she doesn’t know is that Reese doesn’t only work there, he owns the joint.

Lydia will go down as one of my all time favorite FMC’s. She is so naive, clumsy, sticks her foot in her mouth like nobody’s business and Reese can’t believe he adores every misstep, every strange utterance that comes out of her mouth.

The best parts are him teaching this virgin the ins and outs of sex. Even better is her no holds barred confusion and miscommunications. Seriously kids, this one is hilarious. And hot AF!

So stinking cute, so freaking funny and wholly salacious. Omg, I didn’t want it to end.
