This is the second book in the Rosewood Bay series and can be read as a stand-alone. This book follows the journey of Phoebe Ward, we met her in the first book. She was the sister of Halley Ward. I enjoyed her in that book and I couldn’t wait to get her story and see if she could get a HEA.

This book is a second chance love story. A sweet, easy read that flows smoothly with little angst. The story takes us along the path of a lost love and fast forwards 11 years into the future. After being separated in foster care, after falling in love with each other, Jake & Phoebe come face to face with each other unexpectedly.

Phoebe never thought she’d come face to face with her son’s dad ever again. She was only 16 years old when she last saw him but upon reconnecting, she knows her love for him hasn’t left, nor has it faded. Her feelings are definitely still deep for this man, even upon the first glance in years. But how will Jake feel when he finds out she had his baby and he didn’t know because he wasn’t told. And how will Phoebe feel when she finds out how Jake has been living his life for the past 11 years.

If you want a simple, sweet, easy read with lovable characters, I recommend this one to you. I enjoyed the first book in this series, and this one was right there along with it. Simply sweet.

Growing up in the foster care system wasn't an ideal situation for Phoebe Ward but it was the hand she was dealt so she tried her damnedest to make the best of it, and she gained more from it than she anticipated. Not only did it help to make her a tougher person, but it also brought love to her life, a love she had never experienced before, and has never been able to find since. When she met Jake Nichols she instantly knew there was something special between them, and before long that instant connection brought about some serious feelings and a unexpected pregnancy, and she was certain they'd have the family they'd always dreamed of, and be together forever... but at sixteen can you really you know everything?

There hasn't been a day that has passed that Jake Nichols hasn't thought about the girl who stole his young heart, back then Phoebe meant everything to him. She was the bright spot in his dim world, they had an amazing connection, loved one another deeply, but then she disappeared from his life and left him a broken young man. One who found trouble, did a stint in prison, and had a life he never saw for himself, but luckily for him he was given a second chance, and he has worked hard to put that horrible past of his behind him. He's now a successful general contractor, a father, and has just about everything he could possibly want... except love. But that is about to change, as Phoebe unexpectedly wanders back in to his life!

Breathe is a touching reunion story that promises to warm the heart, and renew your faith in second chances! This wonderfully crafted tale pulled me in from the first page, reunited me with some old friends, and brought along a few new ones for me to fall for too, and they took me on one heck of a journey! It was such a uplifting story, it spoke to my heart, made me swoon, and came with a little drama to keep me on my toes too! I highly recommend you check out this new heartwarming series from Ms. Phillips, it will lift your spirits, speak to your heart, and curl your toes!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

Breathe is the second installment of Carly Phillips new series Rosewood Bay. The story follows Phoebe Ward as she runs into her first love, Jake Nichols, who also happens to be the father of her young son. She hasn't seen him since her Aunt took her out of foster care but he's always been on her mind. Now that he's back though she has no idea how she's going to break her big news to him.

I thought this was a sweet novel and I really thought it spoke to how strong a connection Jake and Phoebe had that they were able to so easily bring their lives together after so long apart. It was easily recognizable that these two belonged together and they were pretty cute together. I was glad there wasn't a ton of drama involving their son since it made the story so much better to instead see how quickly Jake and Jamie bonded.

The drama that was involved and that I didn't like though was with Jake and his ex-wife. I just didn't see the point of having a witchy woman involved in the story and it kind of took away the breezy vibe that Jake and Phoebe brought to the book. And then it just confused me in the end when there really wasn't a discernible conclusion to that drama.

Overall, I really did enjoy this story and I liked getting to know more about Phoebe after first meeting her in the previous book. If you're in the mood for a more contemporary romance with some very likable characters then this is the one I would recommend.

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date -15/5/18

"Breathe" was a delightfully sweet second chance romance.
It was such an easy read that was so easy to connect and get lost in.
As a rule, I'm not a big fan of second chance love stories but with this one; I just couldn't help but get pulled right into the excellent narrative and easy emotion that was portrayed between these pages.
Both Phoebe and Jake were so easy to warm to and I really loved the way these two were such excellent role models for there children.
Both have been dealt crappy cards in life and have made choices that have impacted them greatly, but in doing so have also learned lessons from this and have moved forward with both maturity and a fresh outlook; despite leftover understandable baggage.
a Truly commendable characteristic.
In fact, the only negative observation I found myself observing about "Breathe" was that I wasn't a great fan of the ex-wife's inclusion here.
And I really did think that Jake should have stepped up to the mark more and maybe stopped treating his ex Lindsay with such Kid gloves.
I know she was the mother of his child and all but it had been four years.
long enough, in my opinion, to call someone out on there totally unreasonable behaviour.
Got to say also that I really loved the cover on this one; truly eye-catching.
So, in conclusion, this was a fantastic romantic read and if you have sweet tooth well this one's for you.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of " Breathe (Rosewood Bay, #2)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Breathe has a feel-good vibe to it with low angst and great characters.

Phoebe Ward was taken out of foster care by her Aunt at the time she didn’t realise that she was pregnant, her Aunt Joy was her rock and eleven years later she has a strong career in real estate but the one thing she could never forget was the father of her son.

I like Phoebe, she is strong, although reserved she has a heart of gold, she can stick up for herself towards others and never backs down. She should take her own advice though.

Jake Nichols kicked out of the foster home and it was a steep decline from there. In prison for assault and battery. But now after dealing with his problems he has established himself in his life as a contractor. He made some mistakes in life, but everybody deserves a second chance.

I liked Jake more than I like Phoebe. He is overprotective with Phoebe and his daughter. He is kind and an all-around good guy.

Sometimes fate has a way of stepping in and brings these half souls back to one another to be reunited. When Phoebe is to sell a property but beforehand it is to be renovated by Jake. There are some difficulties as Jake was previously married and has a six-year-old daughter which Phoebe must deal with, it hurts but she is an adult about.

The writing is flawless and the story flows well without any bumps in it. This is a sweet and sexy read where I enjoyed the hell out of this book. There is mild angst where Aunt Joy didn’t quite tell the truth and Phoebe has some insecurities to deal with.

I can’t quite give it 5 stars as although they had something strong as teenagers and life got in the way, they kind of pick off exactly where they left off. Although the past was discussed and as time progresses, I had the feeling that time flew when they got together. It felt like a week but when calculating it all it was 2-3 months instead.

I read the sample of Freed and love it.

Breathe is the second installment of Carly Phillips series, Rosewood Bay that depicts a second chance love story of two former lovers who are tied by a bond of a child. This book is pretty much a straightforward sweet book with a few angst thrown into the mix but overall this book showcased two people who were meant together. So if you are in the mood for a light and charming love story then this books is for you.

BREATHE by Carly Phillips is book Two in the Rosewood Bay Series. This is the story of Jake Nichols and Phoebe Ward. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Jake and Phoebe had met in a foster care and fell in love...but they were just teenagers. They were caught and Jake was sent away and by then Phoebe Aunt found her.
Years later they happen to meet again where we learn Jake is divorced with a daughter named Callie. Phoebe fell pregnant at 16 by Jake and had a son named Jamie . Jake never knew she was pregnant when they were separated. Now Phoebe has to tell Jake about Jamie and deal with the feelings that didn't go away.
Great second chance at love story.

Ok, first off I really didn't think there was any way that this book was going to be better than the first in the series, but SURPRISE it was! This book had so many feels and while the first one did too and was really flipping good like every other book this author writes, but something about this one just held my heart from page one right until the very end. I was so consumed with love for both main characters, Phoebe and Jake and then add then their cute as get out kids and I was completely won over. I adore second chance books and I especially love second chance books that involve kids. I'm telling you this book just skyrocketed to one of my favs and one I will read many, many times!! I can not wait for the next book in this series! Hands down one of my favorite authors ever. One click every book she publishes and each one can still surprise me with how good it is.

I am absolutely loving this new series from Carly Phillips! This is Book 2 and it is about Phoebe Ward, Halley’s sister from Fearless, Book 1. It is a sweet and wonderful second chance romance with such a great story line and amazing characters. Phoebe is a successful realtor and she is so strong and relatable, and just an incredible single mom to her son Jamie. Jake Nichols has done very well in construction and is a very sexy divorced father to his 6 year old little girl Callie. He is such a hardworking and all around great guy who has come a long way. He is a great dad spending as much time with his daughter every week and is even always there for his ex when she calls with any problems with Callie and he also
helps them generously financially.
Phoebe and Jake met in foster care and fell in love but because Phoebe was only 16, Jake got taken out of the home and she never saw him again until now, 11 years later. So he has no idea what he missed out on all these years. Once he does though he wants nothing more than Phoebe and Jamie and what he has been missing.
They are so good together! Sweet, sexy and steamy, you just can’t help but cheer them on.
Their chemistry is still incredible and because their feelings never really went away it was easy
to rekindle that fire! But the reality of their
lives complicates things a bit. Can they get over some minor hurdles and have the future together they both deserve more than anything as a family?

STORY:
This story was cute, and I honestly don’t do a lot of second chance romance. Jake was a contractor, and I found him to be sexy. Not only sexy from being a contractor, but his personality and the way he cared for Phoebe were sexy to me as well. He had a rough past, but the man he is now was good. Phoebe was adorable along with her son, Jamie. I have nothing bad to say. I enjoyed this storyline.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
This had some steam. I love the sex scene but wanted more.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
Jake’s ex wife, Lindsey - massive eye. So annoying.

Halley and Kane - love them. Read book 2 first, but on my way to read their story in book 1.

OVERALL:
Enjoyable second chance at romance read.

TRIGGERS: none

****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

“When I’m with you, wherever I’m with you, I have everything I want.”

Another beautiful and touching romance to add to what’s turned out to be a pretty incredible series! BREATHE, book two in Carly Phillips’ Rosewood Bay series, was a wonderful, entertaining, and easy read! Full of charm, wit, heart, and so much sweetness, I couldn’t turn away, even if I tried! Jake and Phoebe’s connection was absolutely undeniable. Phillips gives us page after page of romance goodness, where a second chance and little bit of hope is all you really need. I’ve craved Phoebe’s story ever since I met her in FEARLESS, and it did not disappoint! If you are looking for a GO TO author in contemporary romance, you should really give Carly Phillips a try. She gives the romance junkies what they want, each and every time!

We met Phoebe Ward in the first book since she is Halley Ward’s sister. I’m not sure if I just didn’t remember she had a child or if it wasn’t mentioned but Phoebe is a mom to an eleven year old son named Jamie. Phoebe’s aunt was able to pull she and her sister out of foster care when they were teenagers saving them from what was shaping up to be a tough life.

Jake Nichols was a troubled teen who was also in the foster care system. When he was young there was one girl who was able to tame his anger issues but when they became separated he landed himself in some serious hot water. Now he is older and the dad to an adorable 6 year old. He is a successful contractor but wasn’t so successful in the marriage department. He’s been divorced for four years but his ex-wife continues to play games and disrupt his life even though she was the one that initiated the divorce.

While on the location of his current job, he runs into Phoebe as she is over-seeing the renovations. He can’t believe his eyes since he hasn’t seen her in 12 years and she is even more beautiful now than she was back then. Both of them never thought they would see their first Love again.

I love the way this story played out and the maturity that both Phoebe & Jake showed when it came to the children. I realize Jake was trying to be the grown up when it came to his ex-wife but good lord she was a pain in the rear!!!

Carly Phillips isn't new to me and she just so happens to be one of my very favorites in contemporary romance. She's an auto-buy and auto-signup author without even looking kind of author. She's never disappointed me, writing some of my all times and never failing to deliver the absolute best with a whole lot of heat and even more emotions.

The Rosewood Bay series blew me away with its first book Fearless, giving such a breathtakingly beautiful romance... but this book was different in such a good way and pulled me in so much deeper right from the start. The characters, the setting, the plot... everything was absolute perfection.

Breathe was an amazing book... one that fiddled with my heart, breaking it at times only to mend it, leaving it pieced back even better than before. I loved every single unforgettable word that Jake and Phone gave me, devouring their journey without ever taking a breathe until it was over, absorbing every single moment.

They were everything until it fell apart, leaving her with a piece of his memory forever and him a troubled future... until years later they walk back into each other's lives. They were always right for each but connecting at the wrong time. Now they have a second chance to start over. Will they embrace it or are their lives to complicated now?

Single dad romance. Single mom romance. Second chance romance. Contemporary romance at its best. All of the best feelings and the reuniting of two people who were always meant to be together. Their story wasn't without angst and drama from the past and riddled with some obstacles but love and fate always prove to win, making every moment that Jake and Phoebe have to go through so worth it.

Run to grab this one. Sexy. Sweet. That good for your soul kind of angst. All of the feelings and such intensity at times. You cannot miss this new release!

I highly recommend this book and fantastic series.

I was a little thrown off when I read that the hero had two children, but only knew the existence of one. I wondered how the author would pull that off and how four people and Jake's ex would fit into the picture. As it turns out everything worked well and I was happy with the final result. I do wish though that the author had dedicated more than 2 lines to show us how the two children handled the situation. I would have liked more scenes where the four of them are together, but that was sacrificed in order to have more romance and I am almost ok with that. I liked Phoebe's character development a lot and I was glad she came to a few conclusions about her life all by herself. She became a person I liked and was proud to call heroine of the book. Next, is the sister we haven't yet because her father is overprotective. I want to see how she will fit in. The only thing I know is that she will be very welcome by her sisters. I hope we will have the third book in our hands very soon.

Breathe is the 2nd book in the hot heroes' series by Carly Phillips. It is Jake and Phoebe’s story. Jake and Phoebe have a long history.... going back to being teenagers in foster care. What Jake doesn’t know is for the last 11 years Phoebe has been raising his child. A child he didn’t know existed, but now he is back and wants a relationship with Jaime.... and Phoebe...

I guess I'm continuing in the book slump. This book was ok...yeah just ok. I’m not a huge fan of 2nd chance love, but more importantly I missed the swooning feeling when the chemistry is just right between two characters. That is the slump talking ya’ll. I hope to be back to twirling soon (and give my eyes a rest...they are sore from all the rolling lol)...yes...I like to twirl when I get the swooning feeling. No fears ya’ll I will keep trudging on...

Phoebe and Jake first met when they were in the same foster home. They thought they would be together forever, but life intervened. Now they’re back in each other’s lives but there’s a lot that has happened in their time apart. Jake has been married, divorced and has an eight-year-old daughter, and Pheobe is a single mother.

After reading the first Ward sister's story in Fearless, I was eager to read Phoebe's story and glad to get an early copy of Breathe to read. Phillips did a terrific job with Phoebe's story. With real life situations and challenges, these realistic, endearing characters had an interesting journey on their way to happily ever after. If you like single parent, second chance romances, you’ll love Breathe!

Author Carly Phillips offers up an engaging and charming second chance love story in Breathe. There was much I enjoyed about this book including the ability of the two main characters to put aside their past to focus on the future.

Meeting in a foster care home, teenagers Jake Nichols and Phoebe Ward formed a friendship that blossomed into more and got Jake expelled from the house when they were caught. Eleven years later they meet on a jobsite and Phoebe knows that no matter what she must fess up that he fathered her 11 year old son.

I appreciated how both Jake and Phoebe dealt with the situation with their son Jamie and made sure to put him first always. There was no denying the chemistry between them and while they did spend time on their own, they were careful around Jamie and around Jake’s daughter with his ex-wife. While I did feel Phoebe let her aunt off a bit easy for making decisions for her, I could also understand she felt she was protecting both Phoebe and Jamie. The tension/drama of Jake’s ex-wife was the only real downside to this story, it felt a bit forced and honestly given their history, their lives in the system, and Jake’s time in prison there were enough obstacles for them to overcome without it.

I enjoyed their easy camaraderie once the initial shock of seeing each other again wore off and the fact that they felt free to be themselves with one another. I loved the way Jamie accepted Jake from the start and how Jake was determined to be the best dad he could be and make up for the time they lost together and it was wonderful to see that Callie (Jake’s daughter) easily accepted both her new half-brother and Phoebe. It really was refreshing that there was no jealousy between the kids and they seemed excited to have a sibling.

A feel good love story over a decade in the making, I loved Breathe.

After reading the little tease of what was coming up for Phoebe at the end of Fearless I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Breathe, and I have to say this was a great read. It was a quick, fun and smexy read that had a couple of twists in it that I didn’t see coming, but really liked how they were the catalyst for getting Jake and Phoebe to their HEA.

Jake is a good man. He may have had a difficult childhood, but he’s learned from it and become more than he probably thought he would be. He has a good heart and when he wants something he doesn’t back down until he gets it. Phoebe’s past isn’t all wine and roses, but she’s gotten through with a positive way of looking at the world and a lot of determination. She loves her family and will do what needs to be done to make sure they thrive.

Jake and Phoebe’s second chance at love journey was a fun one, and the Jake found out about his son was definitely not expected. I really liked Jake and Phoebe together. The chemistry was still there, even though they hadn’t seen each other for years, and I liked how they were together once the awkwardness wore off. There was a good bit of drama going on, but it never got into the angsty OTT arena and I actually like how one issue ended up being a much needed kick in the butt towards them getting their HEA.

This really was a fun second chance/secret baby romance. I loved the twists and turns and how everything was handled in the end. It was fun to get a little time with Aunt Joy as well as catching up with Halley and Kane. But with that little tease of Freed at the end, I’m definitely looking forward to meeting Juliette!

Jake and Phoebe

Both grew up in the system, Jake leaving their home when the two were caught in bed together at age 16.

It's 11 years later and both Phoebe and Jake have been living their life. There has been a marriage, a divorce, a kid, and a secret.

Phoebe's baby was never meant to be a secret but circumstances have made it that Jake doesn't know that at 16 he got Phoebe pregnant. She has been raising their baby on her own.

Fate will bring them together but will their pasts, secrets, ex's, and their own fear and insecurities keep them apart???

This was a good light story. A quick read, sweet, at times steamy and an overall good read.

I think this is a book most people will love and a series they will continue. This one was an it's me not the book. Could be my mood, could be my kids home for summer so I get interrupted every minute or so, who knows. But, give it a shot it's probably better than I am making it sound. Ugh

Breathe is the second book in the Rosewood Bay series. It's a second chance romance focusing on Phoebe Ward. She and Jake were an item while in foster care. After being rescued by her aunt, she never saw him again. He doesn't know they have a son. Normally, I'm not a big fan of secret baby stories. However, to Phoebe's credit, she did try to find Jake with no success. I enjoyed their story and their journey of reconnecting. I loved how Jake was all in from the start, even more so once he found out about Jamie.

While I did like the story, I felt like it needed something more. Its hard to pinpoint exactly what was missing. It's probably a combination of a few things. I kind of wished there would have been a little more angst here. It was all a little too easy and smooth. Their reunion lacked the heat I was expecting between this couple. Even the conflict with Jake's ex was fairly mild and resolved a bit too quickly. It almost read like a novella but it was a a full length book. Still, I do recommend trying it out. I look forward to reading Freed, Juliette's story next.

Yes! I said in my last review I hoped book 2 would be Kane’s sister and it is! Phoebe and her son wormed their way into my heart in book 1. I was looking forward to seeing her get her HEA.
Jake and Phoebe go way back, so this is a second chance love and of course, these are my favorite kind.

Jake comes back to town and it was a shock to both Phoebe and Jake, but old feelings surface and they realize they might have to try again.

Their story is really adult and I liked that we didn’t get childish drama when it could have been very easy for the author to go that root. I think because of that I really connected with these two and was rooting for them.

Jake’s ex seemed to be their biggest obstacle again it was done with little dramalama.

I liked the narration, her male voice was my favorite.

This second chance romance was just delicious and hot and steamy and so sweet. I felt much more involved with these characters and rooted for their HEA. The audio was wonderful and I can't wait for the next book, which I have decided to read right away. Yeah, I'm hooked.

Phoebe Ward was in the foster care system for ten years before her rich aunt found her. Her home was one of the happy ones and she did okay in the system. She even found to love of her life in an angry boy named Jake. Pregnant at 16, Phoebe has a lot to overcome but her aunt and sister were there to help every step of the way. Now she is a successful real estate agent and mother to a wonderful son. Her life is good and full, even the memories of her love with Jake don't intrude, very often at least.

Jake Nichols is out to prove, both to himself and his boss, that he can take a project, manage it and bring it in on time and on budget. He didn't expect that the owner's representative would turn out to be Phoebe, his first love. After his marriage fell apart he has but all his efforts into his job and daughter, but he has never forgotten Phoebe and she still owns a piece of his heart. Seeing her again was a shock. Hearing he has a son was quite a blow too.

Watching these two overcome their past and find a way to their future was a lot of fun.

5 star review Breathe (Rosewood Bay #2) by Carly Phillips

Not only is this the second book in the series, but it is also a second chance at love story and is about Jake Nichols and Phoebe Ward.

Both Jake and Phoebe met when they were in foster care and fell in love. Circumstances tore them apart and yet they never forgot their first loves, particularly Phoebe as their love resulted in her son.

Life hasn’t been easy for Jake and Phoebe; Jake having found himself in prison thanks to his anger issues has now turned his life around and settled down spending his time working and looking after his 6 year old daughter.

Imagine the shock they both feel when circumstances bring them together again; particularly Phoebe who unsuccessfully searched for Jake. Jake is now a divorced single father and a successful general contractor. Phoebe is a successful real estate agent who is now in charge of Jake’s latest project.

What will happen when Jake finds out about the son he never knew he had? Can Jake and Phoebe move on from the past and take the chance that fate has dropped at their feet?

Can Phoebe overcome her feelings of abandonment and give Jake a chance to be a father to their son? To make a future together and for them all to become a family; or will Jake’s ex-wife get in the way?

The chemistry between Jake and Phoebe sizzles, their story romantic. I really liked both Jake and Phoebe and found myself engrossed in their story.

I have found from previous books that Ms. Phillips has a strong writing style and Breathe is no exception. Her characters are strong and easy to relate too. I particularly liked how she built the story up.

Although a stand alone I do think you would enjoy reading book 1 Fearless as well. This series gets better and better and I cannot wait for the next book in the Rosewood Bay series.

A sweet second chance…

This is the second in the Rosewood Bay series, a series that is growing on me by leaps and bounds. While I enjoyed the first instalment, Jake and Phoebe amped things up another notch as they quietly worked their magic, making me believe that love the second time around can be just as sweet…

Torn apart as teenagers, Jake and Phoebe went their separate ways, growing up, building lives and a future apart from each other - and alone. Well, neither is quite alone… Unexpectedly thrown together, they quickly realized the love they had lost had never gone away.

Jake and Phoebe are characters I could easily relate to. No crazy dramatics, life provides enough of that naturally I think, just people trying to figure things out as best they can. And they did just that.
Unexpected fatherhood, blending families, unhappy exes. While the hysterics were low (thank goodness), the story was chock-a-block full of rekindled romance and all the headaches and joy that brings. An easy read to savour on a hot summer day…

Breathe is the second installment of the Rosewood Bay series, and arguabyone of my favorite books by Phillips. Breathe follows Phoebe Ward as she reunites with her lost love Jake Nichols. There reunion is more than just two lost loves reuniting after years apart, along with it comes the surprise that Jake has a son. Watching these two overcome their pasta and find their way back to each other while navigating the challenge of having a kid that Jake didn't know about was so fantastically written that I felt as though I was a friend of theirs loving right along with them in this little world. Breathe was a fairly quick read and while there were parts that left me feeling a bit of their pain, I found myself smiling at how the story was unfolding and all of the happiness that my new friends were finding.

The only issue I had with the book was hat I didn't feel like there was really a resolution with Jake's ex. I liked the challenge that she brought to the story, the added drama, but I would have liked to see more of a solid resolution. However, that didn't stop me from absolutely loving this story. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

The second book in the Rosewood Bay Series and what a series this is turning out to be.
Jake Nichols has turned his life around from a troubled teenager in the care system to a successful contractor but now he finds himself juggling life as a divorce and father of a adorable daughter. When Jake shows up to price up his next job the last person he expects to see is Phoebe Ward the girl he loved and lost as a teenager. Phoebe Ward is now a successful real estate agent who is looking after a makeover on a friends house and she sure didn’t expect Jake to be the contractor but that’s not the only problem here because Phoebe is also a single parent and now she has come face to face of the father of her child, she tried to track Jake down when she found out she as pregnant but it wasn’t meant to be. Has fate given these two teenage lovers another chance at love ......
This book has it all, a great storyline, characters you can relate to, it’s passionate, it’s sad and it’s fun and what’s better than a second chance at love and single parents making love and family work.
Excellent read from the very talented Carly Phillips

I couldn’t wait to read Phoebe Ward’s story and Carly did not disappoint! Having read the first book in this series we learn Phoebe is very successful in real estate and a single mom. The Ward sisters were both in foster care when their aunt took them in and raised them. Phoebe has never forgot Jake the boy from foster care who is her son’s father. Now 11 years later she comes face to face with him. Both have made good for themselves after life throw them some curveballs. Jake and Phoebe’s second chance at love was a great read even with the secrets and twists. Breathe had me turning the pages for the HEA!

Phoebe Ward survived the foster care system and nearly 12 years as a single mom before walking into the house her client has put her in charge of having refurbished for a meeting with the contractor when she comes face to face with her first love, the one she thought she would never she again, the father of her child. Jake Nichols has overcome and survived so much in his life...foster care, prison, divorce, and now he all his hard work has led him to a job he loves which could lead to him owning the business in the future and having a beautiful daughter he is helping raise as a single dad. What he doesn't expect is to come face to face with his true love, his only love, Phoebe. Coming back together and meeting his son brings out all the feels in this story. Watching this family struggle to find their way through insecurities and real life drama to find their happy ending was a pleasure. This series keeps getting better and I cannot wait to see where it goes next! Definitely recommend this one!!!!

This was an amazing huge second chance between Nick and Phoebe who have lost years together at a young age and reconnect by accident with huge surprises and the connection at one look is still there. These two together are passionate and the attraction is unbelievably hot and I really enjoyed how they handled the situation are were so passionate about the children. Beautifully written and the whole story was just so enjoyable to read.
