His mouth was against my throat. I felt the scrape of fangs. My head swam with a mixture of fear and excitement.

“Is that clear?”

Welcome to the shadow world of Blood Courtesans.
Where vampires are real, and one wants me—bad.

I'm working as a cocktail waitress in a shady club when my boss accuses me of stealing a hundred thousand dollars. There's no way I can pay him back. But if I don't, I'm dead.

Then billionaire French vampire Remy de la Lune steps up to pay off my debt. Now I owe Remy instead—one of the oldest and most powerful vampires in the world.

Become my blood courtesan, Remy says. One month, and then I'm free. He'll even pay me a bonus—if I satisfy him.

What can I do? I sign the contract.

Now I'm Remy's for one month. Ensnared by a dark vampire count.

My body and my blood are his. I just have to be careful he doesn’t steal my heart as well.

I adore this series so much!! Powerful alpha vampire men and the women who tame them. Remy is a cold and powerful vampire used to getting what he wants and when he catches star's scent he knows that he will have,it's only a matter of time and patience and so starts the power of wills between these lovers.Once star signs remy's contract her life won't be her own for 30 days, but The feisty star soon takes control of her sexy beast and will bring him to his knee's! Such awesome chemistry and mind blowing sex all trade marks of a Rebecca rivard book. She's a fabulous storyteller and her characters are awesome as well. Can't wait til my next visit to the Blood Courtesans series!😉💖

She had been set up for the theft of one hundred thousand dollars and her only out was to become a courtesan…one month with Remy de la Lune, but this hunkalicious vampire has met his match and I was happy to be along for the ride.

ENSNARED-{BLOOD COURTESANS}THRILLING SUSPENSE-DANGER & SIZZLING ROMANCE

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THIS FANTASTIC STORY; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters; intriguing storyline, powerful vivid scene descriptions, witty dialogue, camaraderie, full of action, gripping suspense, jealousy, betrayal, horrific danger, life-threatening incident, gut-wrenching moments, skyrocketing heart-pounding sensual romance, and a fabulous conclusion leaving you wanting more.

HOW THEY MEET: Star escaped the clutches of an abusive dad, is an aspiring artist and lives in a quaint apartment on the East side of Baltimore. Unfortunately, the bar she had been working for closed and now she is anxious only having enough money for one month's rent. Going outside her apartment for some air to think about her next move, a heart-stirring gorgeous man approaches her and asks for a dinner date, turning him down she bolts for her apartment. Remy, a powerful vampire who by fate and drawn to Star’s heady scent ended up on the East side of Baltimore in front of her apartment desperately trying to persuade her to go out with him. Remy is captivated by Star’s beauty and sassy attitude. Determined to make Star his blood courtesan he fabricates a plan to have her make the choice to stay with him for a period of one month.

INCREDIBLELY fast paced well written eye-popping read by two truly gifted authors. Absolutely loved this as the magic begins with the first word. This story has its ups and downs, protective moments and the romance sizzles to a slow passionate burn. I adored Star’s audacious persona standing up to the powerful vamp. Remy is a dominant alpha vampire, wanting everything his way, but Star turns out to be something he needed and he is totally devoted to her; a perfect couple making this a most exhilarating read. If you treasure vampire romance this is a wonderful book for your library. {I was gifted this book, and this is my honest review}. In the world of vampire romance, the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

i enjoyed all the courtesan books, all were awesome reads. ensnared fits right in that series.
when one of the eldest vampires takes an interest in her , she doesn't really know what to do with that fact. her life is already a mess, when things get worse, she feels she has no other choice but to take up his offer: be his blood courtesan for 1 month.
the life she enters is like nothing she's seen before. remy is different from what is told about vampires, he's not even cold!
they settle in fine the first few days, being with him doesn't seem so bad. he's honest and he doesn't compel her to obey him. but then he's called back to France, during those days she starts doubting herself. being cooped up for so long she wants to go outside.
and that was her biggest mistake.
things go into overdrive with remy fastly returning to find and rescue her!

it really was a joy to read! remy is just .... he may be one of the oldest vampires around but he managed to keep most of his humanity but also have the ruthlessness that comes with being a vampire. he lifts the story to another level! (wouldn't mind reading more about him)

Ensnared: A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance by Rebecca Rivard and Michelle Fox is
The Hottest read of the Blood Courtesans!!

Everyone of the Blood Courtesans Novella are each uniquely different, but I have got to say this one is by far the most down and gritty one yet. Sweet

Down on her luck Star Salazar is wondering how she is gonna come up with next months rent. Still jobless she goes out for some fresh air and comes across a tall dark stranger..Remy de la Lune..hehe
She has no idea what he is about to do for her, or too her..

Accused of stealing, beat up and tossed out in a alley she finally breaks and Remy is right there to offer her a way out...Become his blood courtesan for a month and 50 thousand dollars ...Sounds good right, well, lol

It's only for 30 days right?
What could go wrong?

Fast paced and a Fabulous Fun Sexy Read..Yum..

3.5 rating for me.
It was just okay for me. I haven't read any other books in the series but I know they can be read as standalones. The story was filled with steamy sex, secrets, and sweetness. It was a cute story but it didn't grab my attention like I was hoping for.

Great Story

Oh my, what a powerful and old and rich vampire will do to get the woman he wants. Remy went a little over the top, and his intentions were selfish. But a good woman knows how to bring a vampire to his knees. If she lives through the experience. They both have enemies who would rather see them permanently dead than happy.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Star is a struggling artist, she has lost her job and needs money to pay her rent. She does not have many belongings, except a picture of her mom and six paintings she's s done. She meets a mystery man while sitting outside her apartment one morning. The man is very persistent about trying to convince Star to go out with him, but she refuses. Her luck changes when a friend, recommends a waitressing job to her. The mystery man is at the new job, which is an illegal gambling hall. Next thing she knows, her new boss is accusing her of stealing 10k from him and gives her one day to pay up. The mystery man finds her in the alley after her boss' thug has roughed Star up. Mystery man, a.k.a. Remy de la Lune, a.k.a. Vampire offers to pay her debt and in exchange Star will become his courtesan for 1 month. Star freaks out for a minute about Remy being a vampire, but he offers her something she cannot refuse-with a 5,000 bonus. Star tries to keep her feelings guarded telling herself this is a business transaction, that she cannot have feeling for a vampire. But, that speech seldom ever makes a difference. The heart wants what the heart wants.

Remy is a Vampire Count, one of the oldest and most powerful vampires in the world, ruling over five covens. It has been a lifetime since Remy has scented blood as sweet as Star’s; he craved her freshness, that spark that made her stand up to him, even in fear – he wanted her as his next blood courtesan, but for now he would have to wait. Desperate for a job, Star agrees to become a cocktail waitress in a small, shady gambling club; her friend Janelle has vouched for her, but she wonders what she has gotten herself into. But this job is nothing more than a ruse, and when Star finds herself in serious trouble, Remy offers her a way out of her predicament. But Remy has enemies and while he is away quelling a rebellion, Star is kidnapped by his adversary, Lorenzo – but this hasn’t been a random abduction, Star has been targeted. Through their blood bond, Remy can feel the hurt, anger and distrust Star has for him. Remy thought his heart was too old and cold to break, but he is wrong; he has fallen in love with Star and she has every reason to hate him – but does she? The story has a few other twists and turns that kept it interesting and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A new twist on this enthralling series – the advantage of many authors – way to go Rebecca!!

Star has lost her job, and only has one month’s rent left in the bank. Getting a glimpse and “sense” of Star ancient vampire Remy, whose initial advance was rebuffed, instructs his blood-bonded human Malik to “get her” but make her believe she has a choice. Star is thrilled to be hired as a cocktail waitress for a private club, but events are setup that require her to agree to a contract with Remy. 30 days and a generous bonus when that time is up.

Malik feels somewhat guilty about how this plays out – but he gets exactly what he wants. Star is snarky and strong-willed and does not fall under any compulsion he tries on her. They work out a happy compromise – and the interactions are delightfully sensual. Trouble in the vampire ranks takes Remy away on a trip under the watch of Malik – who Star believes does not like her. And Star get some information than has her furious.

An emotional journey that is both heart-warming, heart-breaking and sensual.

Star is accused of stealing money from the wrong man. The only way to save herself is to accept money from a centuries old vampire who wants her as his Blood Courtesan.

Remy is a vampire who has lived a very long time and seen just about everything. But meeting Star sparks something in him. He has to have her no matter the cost. But will the cost be even higher than he expected? Could she be the one to pierce this vampire's heart?

What a dark, sensual, erotic ride! This one will leave you begging for more. Star is an independent, sweet, artist overcoming a past she just wants to forget. Remy is a sensual, commanding vampire that has shut off his heart. From start to finish this one will have your blood pumping from danger and sensual pleasure. I loved Star and Remy together because they each had things to overcome, but they each brought out the best in the other. Remy inspires her and pushes her to follow her dreams and open her heart. Star compels Remy to trust and to open his heart. This was an exciting, sensual reading feast! I loved every minute!

Star is a cocktail waitress in a club where she is accused of stealing $100,000 and has to return it by the following night. As a side note, Remy's bodyguard set up the entire deal, but he acts like the knight in shining armor and pays her debt. As repayment Remy asks Star to become his courtesan for one month. But she didn't count on falling for him.

Star and Remy's story is a good addition to the series. Watching Remy screw up and then have to make amends was fun to watch. He fell for her, but hoped the entire time that she wouldn't find out how he manipulated the situation for her to become his courtesan. The progression of their relationship felt like it took a natural progression. They weren't supposed to fall in love with each other but you can never control what the heart wants. This story proved that. I was a leery about Remy's bodyguard, but in the end he proved his loyalty. It took me a little while to get into the story, but once I did I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

Vampire fiction often chooses to represent vampires as either good or bad; in Ensnared Ms. Rivard depicts the vampire world in shades of gray, much like her main character's sketches. Remy is an unlikely hero, and his actions border reprehensible. He has to work to win over Star and the reader. Star's desperate independence and innate strength of will are well-balanced by her dreams and creative talent as an artist. She's a woman we can all admire and cheer for.

I enjoyed the balance between romance and danger. Also that the danger and action both surrounded Star but weren't necessarily of her causing. She tangled with a vampire and danger follows. Be warned that there are violent scenes, but not true gore.

The Blood Courtesan series just keeps getting better and better. Ensnared is a stand-alone book with an HEA, and extends the Blood Courtesan world to Baltimore.

**NOTE: I was gifted an early copy of the book. The opinions are all mine.

My first book by this author but she came up trumps for this series.
Just loved this book. This story flowed well and was a good read, I just would have liked a bit more discussion on their feelings as they felt them. Teeny tiny bit more.
Star was fresh, sensible and really likeable. You could not help but feel for her.
Remy was a bit spoilt as most aged vampires tend to be, He saw Star and did a rotten thing to get her as his courtesan. At the time it did not matter to him as he did not expect to have feelings for her, which he denies to himself.
But then Star gets caught up and hurt in a vampire takeover bid just after she has found out that Remy manipulated her fate.
After Star has healed she has it out with Remy. He at least apologises to her which is more than some alpha men do.
Star has a big decision to make but it is at least her decision.

Every time I read a Blood Courtesan story, I think the next one will never be as good as this one. But each and every one just gets more exciting, the challenges are more suspenseful and the romance unbelievable. What fascinates me also, each book is by a DIFFERENT author but the same quality & style of the plot runs so smoothly, the characters are well developed and there is a right balance with the violence, sex, threats, vampire mystique and love. In this series, a few vampires have been so fascinating and kind, one almost wishes that vampires are for real. Remy is an old, powerful French Vampire that meets Star, a gutsy, strong, no-nonsense human woman that he simply must have. So he sets her up where she feels she has no choice but to agree to become his Blood Courtesan for thirty days. One day, Star makes a foolish decision that endangers her life when old enemies of Remy appear. I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars!

ARC review
Omg what a great book....seriously very hot, my god Remy I think I'm in love ,so smooth suave and he's seriously hot. Star first sees Remy whilst she's was sitting on the steps of her apartment. With the sun not quite up she's listening to birds singing and squirrels busying them selves, while thinking how she can pay rent with no job. Then things went hush and see saw him.... Time stood still as he approached, his gaze was fixed on Star and although she knew she should go back in the apartment something held her there. I have to have her, there's something about her, is it her scent, her skin her hair her smart mouth? What ever it is Remy knows Star won't be like any other courtesan, she is feisty and he likes it. Great book a little different from the Fada shifters but just as hot Thankyou Rebecca X

Star has been struggling with no job and about to lose her attic apartment, she takes on a job at a questionable establishment, only to be accused of robbery days later. She never imagined to be beholden to a vampire, but she finds no other way out, but to become his Blood Courtesan.

Count Remy De La Lune is a very old and sought after vampire, the ladies beg to stay his Blood Courtesans, but he only has use for them for a month. Until he gets a wiff of Star from the wndow of his limousine, he will do anything to get her to be his for a month. What he never counted on was falling under her spell instead. Now a month doesn't seem enough for him.

So much passion can turn into love.

Another great book in the Addictive vampy series with some great twists.

Star is caught on camera stealing from her boss. He demands immediate payment. These are not men to mess around with, she is innocent but can't prove it.

The answer to her debts turns up offering to pay her debts, rent and even add a large bonus in exchange for 1 months employment.
Star has very little choice but to agree. A contract is written For 30 days Star is to obey her new vampire employer.

Be a Vampires chew toy for 30 days it can't be that bad, can it ?

I'm not sure if I've read a book written by Rebecca Rivard before, but I will definitely keep on reading her works in the future. The Blood Courtesans series is a collection of short vampire stories, where a woman has to fulfill the feeding and sensual needs of a vampire. The reasons are always varied, and Rivard's take on the theme had me from the get go. Star was a strong protagonist, and didn't let herself be totally done in by her vampire paramour, Remy. Of course Remy was hot as all get out, and despite using horrible tactics to get Star to agree to be with him, all is forgiven as we read about his devotion to her. This novella is totally sexy and satisfying. A great read!

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review

This book is about Star and Remy, I really loved how strong Star was the childhood she had was horrible but she grew up with such a strong will and soul, this was so inspiring. Remy is one of the oldest vampires and one of the strongest. The story is Great I don't want to give much away but oh did Star effect Remy like no other Blood Courtesan ever had. There is a great fight scene as well I think that was what FINALLY woke Remy to his true feelings for sassy Star but is it to late?

Entrapment. Star Salazar is broke and desperate for money. Remy de la Lune pays her debt and sets her up as his Blood Courtesan to repay the debt. Disillusioned. It never fails. Dirty tricks always come to light. Read and discover the inexorable attraction between these two and how they reach a resolution! A well-constructed story with interesting characters and plenty of excitement to raise your blood pressure. A fine addition to the Blood Courtesan series!

Ensnared starts off in a sad way. Star has had a hard life and is at rock bottom. Remy just happens to roll down the window of his car and smell something wonderful, Star. Is it fate or happenstance? But she wants nothing to do with him. Does his ensnaring her in circumstances that ensure she take his offer make him a bad guy? Or just someone that is so powerful they're used to getting their way? Can he and Star be over after a month?

Sweet story of pain, loss, power, and Love.

Star has caught the eye of Remy a Vampire Count and he wants Star badly for a blood Courtesan! Star has no choice but to sign the contract for one month and he'll pay off the guy she supposedly ripped off plus a fifty thousand dollar bonus at the end.
Unfortunately Remy is called back to Paris before the month is up to solve a problem but the problem instead tracks down Star!
