A Hundred Ways to Love by Ellie Wade is the story of Liam Moore and Leni Turner.
Leni's parents were not good examples of what love is. Len's father was abusive to her and her mother. Len's mother turned a blind eye towards everything about her father. Leni only had her art, her Grandmother and Liam to give her any happiness. But her father took her art away then she started having stronger feelings for Liam than that of childhood friends so she stop coming to her grandmother farm where Liam was a neighbor of hers. Then Leni become of age to go to college where she got her degree but has found that hasn't made her happy nor the life of turning people away. So she returns to her Grandmother where is to be with her. Of course Liam is still living there which starts to open up her feelings for him again. Liam always cared for Leni and now that she is back he wants to make her happy and his.
Great second chance at Love.

A chance meeting with a bubbly, green-eyed girl in a cornfield changed my life, and I’m still reeling from its effect.

Holy wow. I am still speechless 18 hours after finishing this book. I’ve always loved Ellie Wade’s work and this one is no different. I was captivated by this story. I loved Liam and Leni’s story and omg Mimi was my favorite person ever! Watching Leni’s transformation was something beautiful.

I was mesmerized by this entire story and I wish there was much, much more! I would love to read more from this town!

You’ve been my everything, all I ever needed.

This was the first book I read by Wade and it was great. Perfect second chance romance with some enemies to lovers as well as friends to lovers vibes and all the small town romance you can handle. It was awesome. I love to see how much Leni grew throughout the book. She wasn't always the most likeable character but you still rooted for her. Liam was that great southern gentleman that all the ladies swoon for. Perfect book boyfriend but even more perfect for Leni.

Hmmm. I think I’m bucking the trend but I didn’t love it. I loved Liam and I thought Leni was ok but mostly I found myself thinking that Liam could do so much better. The story was all there but I didn’t buy the Leni’s emotional turnaround or Liam’s infinite patience. Sorry ladies

A Hundred Ways to Love
By: Ellie Wade
Narrated by: Amy Hall, Ryan Haugen

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story is well-written with interesting storylines that captivate your attention from start to end. The characters and storylines are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Leni Turner did not have the best parents or home life, her father did not treat her or her mother well and her mother did not stand up for her or herself. The highlight of her year were the summers when she got to stay with her favorite person, Mimi, her grandmother who ran a farm. She also befriended Liam, the boy next door, and she looked forward to seeing him. Liam Moore grew up on the farm next to Mimi’s and he looked forwarded to seeing and spending time with Leni every summer. The two knew each other since they were 6 years old, but when they reached their teen years, their feelings for each other morphed in to something more than friendship, especially for Liam. Leni also felt it but she fought it, witnessing what loving someone did to her mother who had given up everything she loved for her father to only became a doormat and a shell of a person. Leni vowed never to do that. She also vowed to get as far away from Texas as she could. When she got accepted into Cooper Union, she left for NY and planned to never look back. Unfortunately, her plans did not work out, she did not find the happiness she thought she would and her career in art fell flat. She left NY broke and had no choice but to go back to the one person she knew who would comfort her, Mimi. And the first person she runs into, or rather almost runs into her, was Liam Moore, and despite how poorly she treated him before she left for NY, he still offered her help and a ride to the ranch. Liam never got over Leni and her being back stirs up his old feelings. A lot has happened since she left, including changes on Mimi’s farm. Leni was her own worst enemy, not allowing anyone in and running away from love, trying to find her happiness. She needed to learn that happiness starts from within. I admired Liam’s patience with her and his ability to forgive her for the way she treated him all those years. The heart wants what the heart wants, and he had an enormous heart. This is a beautifully plotted romance novel, there is plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and a love that was years in the making. Ellie Wade, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Amy Hall and Ryan Haugen did a great job bringing these characters to life, humanizing them, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, sounding believable in the roles they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Amy Hall’s Leni was spot on, she had you feeling her turmoil and her every emotion, Ryan Haugen nailed it as Liam, grasped his every emotion too. They were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. These talented narrators are versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen.

“I need all the space I have for love because I have a lot of it to give.”

So in love with Leni and Liam...
This was my first book by Ellie, and it certainly won’t be my last! I am greatly enjoying learning her writing style. The characters in this story were very enjoyable, funny, and heartbreaking at the same point. Her characters are very believable. You can see all the love that her Mimi has for Leni and has always had her full support. Mimi would do anything for Leni, to keep her happy and safe knowing full well that her granddaughter doesn’t have it easy living with her son and wife. Leni’s parents have shown her constantly the warped side of love and for that reason alone Leni refuses to ever “fall in love” she won’t lose herself or become the doormat that she sees her mother to be. She will follow her dreams no matter where they take her.
Liam has been in love with Leni for years, but has also been so confused by her feelings towards him. She ended their friendship years ago without ever telling him why. She left him behind to follow her dreams, now she’s back. She’s got her walls built up so high that he truly has no idea how to get in. But he’s determined to find the “real” Leni again. As time goes on and revelations are revealed Leni and Liam become close again, knowing what she knows about Liam Leni must decide if she’s finally ready to admit what she’s always known...she’s in love with Liam. Now, does she take the ultimate chance at love or does she stick with her own ideas and shut everyone out including the best man she’s ever known?

I’ve been writing and rewriting my review because I don’t know how to put in words that will say and express how much I loved and adored this book. I was hooked from page one, couldn’t put it down and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is my first book by this author but it certainly would not be the last. The writing just flowed and had me engrossed to the story from start to finish wanting to find out what happens next. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Their chemistry is off the charts. They are both flawed and complex. Neither of them can deny the strong connection they feel nor the fiery chemistry. They click and they simply understand each other. Their journey together isn’t easy it’s filled with so many obstacles. Slowly he brings down her walls and wins her guarded heart. Leni has had a rough childhood and because of that she is really jaded. She is pushing everyone away. Liam is such a swoon-worthy hero: loving, caring, sweet, protective, charming, fun. He was always there for her even when she didn’t deserve him. He was so patient and understanding. Leni and Liam’s story is excellently captured, developed and paced with an immaculate, flawless and superb writing and storytelling. Their love story is not easy; it is filled with so much hurt, pain, obstacles. I felt it all: the anticipation, the angst, the push, the pull, the hurt. I love the way they thrived and survived.

This book was such an emotional rollercoaster but at the same so good. It kept my attention at all times and I could not put it down. I recommend it.

A Hundred Ways to Love
By: Ellie Wade
Narrated by: Amy Hall, Ryan Haugen

Ellie Wade knows how to pull me in and keep me riveted to a story. Every time I hear a book of hers, I am captivated. This is Leni and Liam's story. Leni has left Texas, getting away from everything she hates. Her childhood is less than stellar, and every bad memory is there. Except for her grandmother. Now several years later, she is back, and in the cocoon of the unconditional love she only gets from her. And then there is Liam. The one boy she fell for in high school, but with a no falling in love rule, she ran, leaving him behind. Now she is faced with her past and needs to decide what her future will bring. Is it Texas that makes her unhappy? Will Liam be the one that can hold her there? Will her past cripple her? I love this story for a lot of reasons. Leni's relationship with her grandmother first and foremost. Leni and Liam are fantastic characters, bringing incredible emotion and angst to the listen, but creating a path for them both. And I love how the story folds around the farm. Yes, a farm girl at heart, I am taken in with Liam and his chosen vocation. It's a fantastic listen.

Amy Hall and Ryan Haugen are our story tellers and they are perfectly cast for these roles. Hall is the girl with an attitude, She exudes the hurt Leni has gone through, but builds her up through her voice as the story unfolds. Haugen with his Texas twang is Liam, with understanding and compassion, he is his character. This is a great pairing and wonderful narration.

This book hit me really close. It'a perfect example how parents can ruin your life and not give a single s**t about it.They probably don't even know they did it.Sad thing, really.

Leni was young when she realized how love can ruin your life. She watched her mother sacrifice everything for the man she loved, and in return she got nothing.Feeling alone, the only thing that made Leni happy was her grandma Mimi and her best friend Liam. But upon realizing her real feelings toward Liam,Leni decides to end their friendship.Instead of her feelings she focuses on getting her diploma.Art is about the only thing that truly makes Leni happy.
But years later her dreams are crushed. While she got her diploma, she is not happy. In fact, she is friendless, jobless, lonely, sad, bitter and hateful. So she decides to leave NY and comes to Texas to live with her grandma.
Liam is there of course and he is not boy anymore. He has heart of gold and all the intention in the world to make Leni happy again. He loves her.

This book was all about Leni's journey to happiness.Letting go of hard feelings is not easy and it's even more complicated when those feelings are directed toward your parents, two people who are supposed to love you the most.

I don't want to give everything away, but if you are looking for slow-burn romance and some self-discovery journey then you should pick up this book.
I enjoyed it greatly.

Holy packed with the feels! This story is raw and emotional. It is about mental growth and seeing you are worthy of love even if it isn’t from the people that are supposed to love you unconditionally. Leni has not had a great life and you can feel her pain radiate in this story as she struggles to find her place. Liam has loved her for as long as he can remember but Leni refuses to get close. With Liam’s persistence, Leni starts to open up. It is heartbreaking to watch her crumble but so stunning watching her rebuild herself. Through little moments and a little nudging from her grandmother, Leni opens her eyes and starts to take control and realizes that she needs to let go of the reasons holding her back. The chemistry has sizzle between these two even when they butt heads but it is evident how much of a connection they have even though they had not seen each other for so many years.
Overall, I am in love with this story. It is heartbreaking but also uplifting. It really shows that you can love and be loved. Wade has always been a favorite of mine. Her words are emotional and heartfelt. You get wrapped up into the world that she creates and A Hundred Ways to Love will do just that. I highly recommend this book. It is one of my favorites so far of the year!

This book, I'm telling you THIS book, I could not get enough! I couldn't put it down and it was amazing!!

"He's the boy next door on steroids, and I suppose he literally is that for me-- minus the muscle-enhancing drugs."

Liam, Liam, Liam! Talk about a swoon-worthy book boyfriend. He is the perfect man - sweet, caring, fun, and loving! And he was so good to Leni, even when she didn't deserve it.

"With just this simple gesture, he makes me feel accepted, content, and though it causes the butterflies to take flight within my belly, I feel cherished."

Leni has had a rough childhood and at times it was hard to read about. But she always had her Mimi and Liam. There were times when I cried for Leni and then there were times when I wanted her to get out of her own head and yell at her to open her eyes.

This story brought out all of the feels. I laughed; I cried; I swooned. There was the perfect blend of sweet and steamy. I read this book in a day because I was so invested and needed to know how it ends. I adored Mimi. Fantastic read and I can't wait for more from Ms. Wade! (5 stars)

Sometimes when you try to not become a specific thing or a certain way, you inadvertently do things which cause you to become the very thing you hated. Leni spent most of her life trying to not become her parents; she becomes her mom, leaving her to believe she doesn't deserve to be loved. If only she knew Liam loved her... Growing up in an abusive household wasn't conducive to Leni's well-being. Every summer, Leni stays with her grandmother, Mimi, and it's a much-needed escape from having to keep up appearances and hiding bruises. There is so much push and pull between Leni and Liam, and you cling onto every word because you are rooting for them to realize they deserve to be happy, especially Leni.

There is so much to unpack in this story. Leni's and Liam's story is so raw and gritty. It pulls at every emotion you have because you feel like you're going through this pain with them. This book started a bit heavy, and at times I felt like it won't lighten up, but my God, by the end of the book, I was in love. There was so much individual growth and acceptance, which can lead to a little reflective. A Hundred Ways to Love was my first book by Ellie Wade, and it was stunning.

A Hundred ways to Love by Ellie Wade
“Will she accept the love around her? 4 stars”

Leni watched love destroy her mother piece by piece as a child and a teen. Watching her parent’s horrible kind of love turned her off of love. When her feelings for her best friend Liam started to change, she ran. But now she’s back a little older and a little wiser. Will she be able to see the difference between the love she’s seen and the kind of love Liam is offering?
Liam has loved Leni since before he knew what love was. He let her go once because he needed to but now, she’s back. Will he be able to convince her to give him a real shot? Because one thing is for sure his love is the kind of love she needs.
I loved the concept of A Hundred ways to Love because it’s true. Every love is different. The kind of love Liam has for Leni is the best kind. The way Leni grew into herself and her happiness was awesome. If you take a chance on A Hundred ways to Love I don’t think you would be disappointed.

I think I have found a new book boyfriend in Liam! I mean he is super sweet and caring. He knows the real Leni not the one she's pretending to be. He sees her potential and helps her see her future. He lets her have her space to figure things out. He knows he loves her and has since they were 6 years old but she needs to figure out her own feelings towards him. Leni hasn't grown up the way Liam has. She was born with specific needs. Her father wants her to be and act a certain way. This isn't Leni at all. She's a free spirit with a love of painting. Her joy was going to her grandma's house for the summer. Mimi reminds me of my grandma. She was always cooking for others and everyone knew her. Makes me miss her. She is the bright light in Leni's life other then Liam. This book was so sweet even the times that Leni didn't know what she wanted and cursed the little town. She had to grow up and realize what was important in life and where she needed to be to be happy. I highly enjoyed this book and would read it again and again!!

This was my very first Ellie Wade read and I absolutely loved this feeling packed read. I love a good second chance romance and this one was absolutely fantastic.

A Hundred Ways to Love was packed with emotion. The writing flowed beautifully from beginning to finish and the story and characters sucked me right in from page one. Leni and Liam meet as children, at the age of six to be exact. These two were the very best of friends and they spent the summers together when Leni visited her grandmother. The other nine months of the year weren't great for her and you'll learn why when you read this.

Due to Leni having to be guarded nine months of the year, she began to push away the people in her life that loved her the most. This story absolutely brought you through such an emotional rollercoaster. You'll go through the ups and downs of Leni and Liam's lives and watch as Leni tries to find herself and drop her guard. If you have been thinking of picking up this story, don't delay. Get this book now!

When someone breaks your heart the devastation is immense but when you know the decision your making is guaranteed to break your own heart it’s soul destroying but fear plays a major part in Lenies decision those meat to love her destroyed her mind as well as heart and she will never give anyone the power to make her experience that ever again.

Liam has had two loves in his life, farm life that takes up every minute of his day and exhausts his mind and Lenie his first love that exhausts his heart and takes up every spare inch of his sanity.

This is a wonderfully written romance filled to bursting with emotions, overflowing in words of regret and fear but also little segments of hope slither through the pages till they finally take root and reward us with a story as pretty as a garden in full bloom!

This was my first read from author Ellie Wade and I can’t wait to discover more of her amazing words in the future!

A Hundred Ways to Love is such a heartfelt story that tugs at your heart from the start. Leni (Eleanora) meets her best friend Liam at the tender age of 6. They were two peas in a pod every summer when Leni would visit her grandma. Leni unfortunately wasn’t happy 9 months out of the year. My heart ached for her because her parents were something else. So what do you do when your heart is breaking everyday when no one is there to mend it or check how your doing, you harden your heart to avoid it from harm. Sadly you push away the people you love the most. This book takes you through the ups and downs as Leni learns to find herself and a relentless best friend who wants to see her happy. I think everyone needs a Liam in their life. This is my first book by Ellie Wade and it certainly won’t be my last.

First time reading Ellie Wade and have to say her writing in this story is very charming.
Eleanora, (Leni) Turner is an only child, her parents are not very nice people, her father is physically abusive and her mother is subservient to him and doesn't take care of her daughter. At age 13 Leni has a great sense of self, she knows what she wants and what she will not tolerate. However, her parents try to compromise her integrity by insisting she become someone who she is not. The one person in her life is her Grandmother, Mimi who loves her unconditionally and she learns about life and love from her. Leni spends most of her teenage years and young adult life shutting people out and running away from Texas to find happiness. When life doesn't turn out the way she planned she returns to live with her Mimi she realizes that there are a hundred ways to love.

Another amazing cover to start. (Seriously Ellie always has incredible covers). Then the story was just perfect. Leni has had a tough childhood thanks to horrible parenting. But luckily visits to her Gram’s for the summer had always been her saving grace, not to mention her BFF Liam. They were inseparable as kids but then once the teen years rolled around, home life became even worse for Leni and she lashed out. Now yrs later she is forced to return from NYC and moves in with her Gram. And who is the first person she runs into coming off the bus, Liam of course. It’s a bit of enemies to lovers at first (more so on Leni’s side) but she slowly lets herself remember why they were close as children and he starts to break down her walls and find not only happiness with him but true joy for where her new life path has ended up. Beautiful story.

Audiobook review

A Hundred Ways to Love was a beautiful and emotional story.
Liam and Leni meet when they are young feeling forever destined to each other from such a young age. Unfortunately Lenin’s life at home isn’t a happy one and after watching her mother loose her essence to love she decides she’ll never love and kicks Liam out of her life. Liam, on the other hand never gives up on her until Leni stops spending her Summer’s with her grandmother. But one day she’s back and so are all the emotions and feelings that surround them.

Overall this was a great book but towards the end all seemed a bit rushed as if it was time to wrap up. Second chance stories always bring tears to my ways and this one did not disappoint.

Amy Hall and Ryan Haugen are amazing as Leni and Liam, bringing out all the emotions and personality of each character.

Well, Ellie Wade did it again, gah!! This author just can take you to such extremes with all the feels. I have sat for a few days just appreciating the skill she has and how to review this book. Once in a while you read a book that just digs deep into your soul and changes you a little bit.
This is a story of how the things in life that wound you can change the way you love. Leni had a hard childhood and it really scared her, making her afraid to let people love her. Then you have Liam, wow what a beautiful soul he had. The way he truly loved Leni and brought her to point where she could get close to him was so perfect. If you want to read a book that will take you through all the feels and emotions this is it. Beautifully done!!

This was my first story by this author and I listened the audio version, narrated by Amy Hall & Ryan Haugen. These were also new narrators for me and I thought did a great job bring Leni and Liam to life. I enjoyed this story, even though Leni had such a difficult childhood, but I loved that she always had her summers with Mimi. It was sometimes hard to tell when the story was in the past and when it was in the present , which is why I'm am not the biggest fan of flashbacks in books. A good amount of angst and was happy to have the epilogues that show the future.

This is a beautifully written, heartfelt romance. Leni, the heroine is lost, bitter and guarded due to her difficult childhood. Liam, the hero, is patient, nurturing and loving, giving Leni the strength and security to drop her barriers and open herself up to love. There are a number of flashbacks to Leni and Liam’s childhood and teenage years, which help us understand their motivations as adults. The romance doesn’t really start until about two thirds of the way through the book, but is definitely worth the wait. The dual narration really added to my enjoyment of the story and brought the characters to life.

There are A Hundred Ways to Love this book! If you are a fan of books by Kelly Elliot and Kaylee Ryan you will fall in love with this book of hurt, love and second chances!

Leni born to a brute of father with political ambitions and a mother who turns a blind eye. Leni's two escape's in her young life was her art (which her father took away from her) and her summer trips to her grandmother Mimis farm, where she could truly feel free and emerge herself in her friendship with Liam the boy from the farm next door.

However, as this years move on and her home life becomes more unbearable Leni makes the decision to close her self of from love and commitment, shuts Liam out of her life at 16 and when she is able leaves home and her parents for good for college in NY and the hope that she can make her dreams of a painter come true.

Sadly after college Lani is forced to move back to Mimi's where she meets Liam who has never forgotten about the girl with the eyes the colour of emeralds and the love he felt for her all those years ago.

Can Lani now open her eyes and unlock her heart to the boy she was once to scared to love or will the calling of the big city send her running back and leave Liam broken hearted once again!

“I’ve been trying to be happy my entire life. Yet I’ve finally realized that everything I need has been here all along. The truth is that my heart has always been here, on this farm. It’s always belonged to you.”

Love isn't something you find. Love is something that finds you - second chance love story with self – discovery journey. Waiting for the one you love to love you back is hard but worth it – that's Leni&Liams story. Read it! It's a beautiful love story with full circle of life.

Cute and sassy

This is a first of Ellie Wade for me. Lately I've been into the dark romance, so this love story was a nice and calm read. I am on love with Mimi who reminds me so much of my own grandma. I could definitely relate to Leni and her back story. I wanted to slap her a few times through out this story and tell her to quit the pity trip and open her damn eyes. Ha ha ha. She does eventually and that was my favorite part. I'm glad she gave love a chance and found her happily ever.
