He gave me one night—one hot, steamy night. I ended up with more than I bargained for after I walked away from him. I was a fool to think that I could go back to my life in the city and just forget about the sexy firefighter. Now, I need his help—not just for my sake, but for our son’s. He’s the only person I can trust; the only one I can run to and if he turns us away, I won’t be able to keep my little boy safe. She was my second chance at something I never thought I wanted—a family. Now she’s standing in my doorway, telling me the kid she’s holding is mine. Sure, he looks just like me and she even gave him my dad’s name, but that doesn’t make him mine. She’s not mine either—never was, but this might just be my lucky day. The only catch? I don’t believe in luck or second chances. That kind of thinking gets people killed in my line of work and I won’t end up like my old man. Hellfire will rain down before I let anything happen to them. Hellfire is the first book of the Alphas in Uniform series by K.L. Ramsey

"Hellfire by KL Ramsey is book 1 in the Alphas in Uniform series. This is my first read by this particular author and it was very disappointing. There was potential for this book to be much better. The plot was mildly believable, but with better writing and greater detail, it could have been more.
Dane & Reese met in a bar while Reese was on her honeymoon after being left at the alter. They have a one night stand. Three years later, Reese appears on his doorstep with 2 year old Cole, stating that she needs his help because someone is trying to hurt their son.
One thing in particular that irritated me while reading, was that Dane kept calling Reese “honey.” That may not seem terrible, however it was explained in the beginning that Dane never calls his one night stands by their names, but chooses pet names like “honey.” Even after they declare their love, he still used the term. It made no sense to continue using it when it was obvious she was more than a one night stand.
Very disappointing read for me. I felt the writing was more middle or high school level. There was too much inappropriate “giggling” by Reese in supposedly serious situations. I also didn’t really feel the connection between Reese and Dane. An unfortunate 2.5 stars for this one."
Hellfire is the first in the Alphas in Uniform series by K.L. Ramsey. The book was a quick fast paced second chance read HEA. Reese and Dane meet when Reese was on her Honeymoon alone after being left at the altar. They had a one night stand and things should have ended there. Well, they didn't, almost three years later, when she shows up as his door looking for help. Dane is a glorified bachelor and does not want or expect this when he sees Reese at his door, eventhough he couldn't stop thinking about her even up until this day. Things take a crazy turn in the book, who it is after Reese, how Dane helps her, where they wind up. This book was a great start to the series. I look forward to see where it goes!
this was another great book you wrote! they had one night together after the day she had. come to find out that they made a baby. now she is back with his son because there lives are in danger. will he help them and give her a second chance? read to find out what happens.

Reese meets Dane on her ‘would be’ honeymoon, where they have a one night stand. She slips up with her ex-fiancée’s name during that time, causing Dane to feel hurt and ditching her while she slept off her drunken self.
Fast forward some time and she’s now on his doorstep, needing protection and a hiding place. She also brings a present from that night from oh so long ago. Now Dane has a new job- fighting fires- on top of this new sudden responsibility. It doesn’t hurt the fact that Reese is back in his life. Can he be a good dad, do his job, work through his feelings, and protect them all?
I thought the story sounded great, and I loved the cover. However, I had hard time connecting to the couple, let alone feel like Dane was such an alpha kind of man. The couple was too wishy-washy with each other- even at the very end she wasn’t sure on something, which surprised me by that point. I also felt like the danger took a back seat to their tentative relationship. Who goes out on a date right away, and tells his friends all about his new little family when things should be shush- shush? I hated how he called her honey. It felt weird every time I read it. I didn’t appreciate all of the giggling by Reese either. I also felt like the writing was a little amateurish.
This is book one in the Alphas in uniform series. Amazing start too. This is Reese and Danes story. How it begins Reece was stood up at her wedding. She was drinking at a bar and Dane came up and used a bad pickup line. This made her laugh and gave her an idea. One night nothing more! What an amazing night it was. Feelings got involved and Dane wanted more, nope. Three years later Reese shows back up on Danes doorstep with a present and a problem. Someone was after her and her son trying to hurt them. Starting over with alot of sorries and explaining these two start again. Dane has grow up alot is a firefighter. He wants it all now the family and the forever. Nothing or no one will hurt his family . They will fight for their love. A wonderful story full of surprises to the very end!!!!!!!!

Dane was a playboy. Never wanted anything serious. Reese was a jilted bride on her honeymoon, alone
One night and one giant mess later....
Reese went to Dane for help, but first she had to explain why she held a young boy claiming he was his. The chemistry between these two burns hotter than the fires Dane fights with his job.
But all it takes is finally figuring out who was threatening Reese and her son and danger to read it's ugly head to scare Reese enough to pull away to hide.
Will Reese take a chance on love and happily ever after? Will Dane grow a pair, our his foot down and whisk her away making her decision for her? Or will they walk away from what could have been? Great book.. A absolutely loved it.
Her son’s life is in danger so she turns to the one man she thinks might be able to help them. Reese’s one night stand has always been in the back of her mind and now she has nowhere else to run. Dane’s world is completely shattered when the woman he was haunted by for over a year crashes into his life with her son. It was an enjoyable read that will have you rooting for Dane and Reese’s happily ever after.
This story has a good premise and I love second chances. But we don't get a lot of details or backstory to really feel connected to Dane and Reese. I rooted for them no less. It was confusing at times as Dane kept doing things that didn't make sense after we know why he does them. I am glad he did step up to the plate and I am looking forward to seeing what else comes from this series.
Wow Mrs. Ramsey is a new to me author and I wasn't sure if I would love this story but I was truly surprised how much I loved Reese and Danes love story. And what they had to go through together to get their HEA. I can't wait to read more stories from this author!
Absolutely loved it! Dane and Reese meet in a bar while she's alone on her honeymoon, after being left at the alter. They have a one night stand and now three years later Reese appears on at Dane's door with his son in tow. She tells him their son is in danger and she needs his help. An truly enjoyable story and loved Reese and Dane and rooted for them all the way through.
nice little romance with a deadly twist. was sad didnt get more info on dane being a fire fighter not one fire he had to race to. reese being threatened and targeted all for money and by her best friend no less that wasnt as surprising as who she had helping her was
I enjoyed this story. Dane and Reese are a delightful couple. Happy with the way things happened. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I do recommend this book.
