I've read two of the authors featured in this book (Kait Nolan, Elena Aitken) and they are a couple of my favourites so I was looking forward to reading the others and discovering new authors. I'm half way through right now but couldn't wait till I was finished to leave my review! If you love romance, you will love this collection of amazing writers. There can be a bit of heavy steam, if you don't care for that, you can skim over it. I have started compiling a must read list of new-to-me authors and look forward to earning money again (after the pandemic) so I can continue their series.

I loved these books, some great new authors to follow, and nice to catch up with some old favourites too. What really caught me though was the message at the start from Kait and company. “No matter what trials and tribulations our characters go through, you know it’s all going to work out in the end. Romance is a source of hope, a beacon of light in dark times. And small town romance, in particular, regularly reminds us of the gifts of community and family. We need that now, more than ever.” So very true. Stay safe fellow readers.

Just For This Moment (Wishful #4) by Kait Nolan I get some serious Pitch Perfect vibes out of this with the amazing list of musical references, the girl-power solidarity, and the underdog who gets his girl. I’ve come at this book from both ends of the series; I’ve read the books before this and I’ve read most of the books after this, so it was about time I filled in this missing chapter in my Wishful education. I can’t say I can understand where Piper and Myles are coming from, fighting to be seen as their uniquely black sheep selves. I’m more like Leah in the ‘fighting back comments to remain liked’ outlook. However, I loved watching this pair learn how to love one another. They made me laugh, the made me cry, they made me want to shake some sense into them, and they made me love.
