Health workers to get P10K risk allowance

The bicameral conference committee of the Senate and the House of Representatives has approved the grant of P10,000 special risk allowance for private health care workers (HCWs) under the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act (Bayanihan 2).

The money will come from the P10.5-billion allocation for compensations for medical frontliners. Private health care workers were not included as beneficiaries in the Bayanihan to Heal As One Act that expired in June.
